Okay, so, ignoring that this is kind of awful and I hate that I apparently can't teleport myself home...

Any advice for first-timers? Can't say I've watched much reality TV back home. Um, barring that... what's some good places to visit off-ship if you've got like five cents to your name?

[Sokka always tries to be around for his crew, especially new arrivals. He hears the good old fanfare and heads towards the bridge, smiling and offering a wave to Billy as he steps up to it. ]

Hey. Welcome to the Blue Fish, I'm Sokka.

[Billy's still in the middle of picking confetti out of his hair. Good grief, there's a lot of that stuff.]

Oh, uh, hey! Billy, nice to meet you.

[At least there's pudding, that's always a bonus to the awful confetti. Sokka picks up the tray, picking out a pudding for himself and offering the rest over to Billy. ]

I know it's a pretty crazy way to arrive. Were you on the Marsiva first? Or do you need a little explanation of what's going on.

I got the gist of it- I was only over there for an hour or so, but that, uh. The augment, I guess? It puts stuff in your head, right? God that's weird to say out loud.

Tell me about it, I've been here for years and it's still weird for me to say. But yeah, basically it's to make sure you're not completely up space-creek without a paddle. I know I would have freaked out way more without it, we've got nothing like this back home.

Steam powered, mostly. And even that's still in it's baby stages. Tech's come a looooong way.

Yikes, this is one heck of an upgrade.

It sure is. It helps I have an engineering augment. It helped me understand it a lot better.

Well, we tend to move to a new star system once a month, so be ready for that. We could land anywhere- sometimes somewhere pretty chilled out or sometimes somewhere that's actively trying to kill you. It could go either way. But so long as people have got your back, you're safe. Lucky for you, you're on the Blue Fish- we look out for each other here.
