[The feed turns on and it's clear Anders has barely just arrived on his new ship as there's still some confetti in his hair he has yet to brush off or pick out. He's clearly on the move, however, as the hallways of the Bishop move behind him on his way to the Med Lab.]

Right, I need to take some inventory: there was a greenhouse on the Iskaulit that held some medicinal herbs, if anyone knows, has it been maintained? [Maker knew if Hermione were still around, he'd really had yet to even check who was still around.] And, similarly, there was a smaller herb garden in the cargo bay of the Twin Roses, is that still there?

[He pauses as something occurs to him and he gives a wry smirk.] And, in my haste, I shouldn't be so rude, my apologies. I am Anders, a healer from Thedas. I imagine my store of potions from before is long gone, I intend to get started on more. If anyone has need of any potion in particular, please feel free to speak up, I'm more than willing to make whatever it might be.

[Assuming he knew how to make it or something like it, but his skill with herbalism wasn't something he took lightly.]

[ She is 100% trying to play it cool, but who knows how that goes. ]

Do you really think I wouldn't take care of the garden?

[He is 100% trying to match her coolness, but there is definitely a moment of extreme relief that tangles itself in his everything when he responds.]

Who knows, perhaps you were too busy with other things.

Or simply...didn't have a choice in the matter.

[He's stopped walking now. The lab and setting things up for new potions seemed far less important in the face of potentially seeing the woman he held in his heart as a sister once again.]

[ They're the coolest cucumbers, and Hermione settles down, legs under her as she responds. ]

No, I kept it well looked after. There's more herbs there than there was before, too.

[ Before he left. Her hands grip the phone and she breathes out. ]

It's waiting for you if you want to go and look.

[Definitely cool as ice. He nods and seems to consider, as though he hadn't already made his decision.]

Yes, I think I will. It won't take so long to set back up that I can't harvest some of what I need first.

Perhaps, if you're not too busy, you could introduce me to what's new?

[Definitely not just an excuse to be able to crush her into a hug when he sees her again.

Something occurs to him, though, that has him pausing.]

Is Ser Pounce with you?

[ A part of her is a little bit relieved neither he nor Wolfe were there for calibrations, but she's more relieved to see him in front of her again. ]

Of course, I don't mind. I don't have too much to do right now.

[ Wandering around the planet only does so much. The question has her pausing, though, and she breathes out quietly. ]

Um, no. No, he's not.

[He smiles, clearly already on his way to the transporters.]

Wonderful, I appreciate it.

[His smile only dims a little with her confirmation of what he already suspected, a slight sadness in his voice when he replies, but maybe not as much as she might have feared.]

I didn't necessarily think he would be, I suppose I merely hoped. It's alright. I'll see you at the gardens then, Madam Granger?

[Riona doesn't hope to see familiar faces anymore. She just keeps praying that the ones she does know don't get taken away. When she checks the network these days, it's to keep on top of things and ensure there's nothing she needs to respond to.

But it seems Atroma is throwing her a bone or two today.

A post by a very familiar name pops up on the feed, and her heart seems to stop. She can't believe it. Of course, she opens it up, and lo and behold, there's Anders. Getting right to business, as it were. Whatever other questions he might have, he seems to be putting them aside for the moment and focusing on the more mundane. Not that she poo-poos his healing and his job as a medic/healer, oh no. It just doesn't take much for her to understand why he's choosing to focus on that.]

I'm afraid I'm not sure about your garden on the Roses. But I could use a potion. It's a peculiar kind: a potion of endless hugs. Do you think you can manage one?

[Ahahaha yes, let's just make a light, cute joke and focus on not breaking down and crying because she's gotten a friend back after having lost so so many.]

[ She's quick to pick herself up too, grabbing her bag and heading out as quickly as she can.

Maybe she'll beat him. ]

[ And less handsome, but she loves her ridiculous, ugly kitten. ]

I'll see you there, Master Anders.

[His heart lurches into his throat as her response comes through along with that familiar, lovely, face. He isn't able to maintain his composure so smoothly in the face of relief knowing she's still here.]

Well, what do you know? I happen to have just that potion on me right now. I believe a house call can be arranged...where are you?

[Buddy just you wait until she sees you and you're in arm's reach. Then we'll talk about maintaining composure. (Hint: there will be absolutely none).]

How grand, I've been in need of one.

[So, so much.]

I'm on the Blue Fish, same as always. What ship did you get assigned?

Oh good, I would love to visit him.

[Anders also loves her ugly kitten, every feline was a Maker-given flawless gift, after all. But first, he wanted to see her.

He's on the transporter and then onto the larger community ship in as little time as he can manage, but considering his lack of familiarity with how his new ship was laid out, she likely does beat him to the Gardens.

He slows when he spots her, warmth and joy welling up in him. He'd been gone so long, as brief a perusal as he could manage while stuck on the Marsiva was enough to tell him 'long enough' was how long he'd been gone. He hadn't even had a chance to say goodbye to her or anyone, and time hadn't even had the decency of letting him feel like he'd missed as much as he had.]

Hello again.

Bishop. I doubt I'll be staying long, though.

[He didn't know anyone on this ship, last he knew, and Hawke certainly wasn't on it which was the biggest issue with it.]

I'll be there shortly.

[A promise he keeps as he's soon walking the Blue Fish's halls instead, making his way to where he last knew her room to be so he could knock on her door.]

[ For a long while she simply stands in the garden, waiting. It's obviously been well taken care of, and each row of herbs is set out neatly, with labels in her small handwriting just waiting there to be picked and harvested. There's more than there was before, and in the back furthest from the door there's a little section of vegetables, growing happily under her care.

She's a little more well trained than she might have been, once, and she turns her head when she hears him approach. The greeting is enough to have her feeling overwhelmed, and Hermione breathes out before she steps over, not sure if she's quite allowed to throw herself into his arms just yet.

The urge is right there, however. ]

Anders.

[ Her smile widens, and she feels the urge to go to him flood her. ]

Welcome back.

Thank you.

[He makes the call for her, putting his long legs to good use to eliminate the distance between them so he can pull her into a tight hug.

His eyes skim over and take in the state of the garden, noting the differences and the obvious care in everything. But then he takes a moment to shut it all out, all but the hug and her presence.]

I'm sorry I left at all.

[ She makes a soft noise of surprise, but she's quick to press herself into his arms, to lean close and bask, even if it's just for a moment. He's back, she thinks to herself, he's back and he remembers, she doesn't have to feel the pull of loss and regret that makes her feel a little bit like she might burst into tears at any moment.

It's a wonderful thing, having family back at your side, and Hermione grips at Anders with both hands, squeezing her fingers into the fabric of his clothes as she presses her face against him. ]

I missed you.

[He couldn't even have the decency of telling her he'd missed her too, he hadn't had the chance to. So he just holds her tighter before finally giving her enough space to breath again and give her a tiny smile.]

I couldn't possibly leave you if you needed me. Besides, there's far too much still to do here.

[It's not a ship she's familiar with either, so she has no opinion on it, one way or the other. She nods and hangs up. While she waits, she manages to get herself up from bed and get dressed. Why, she even decides to brush out her hair, making herself at least semi-presentable by the time Anders comes knocking.

Kiter's head pops up from his bed where he was sleeping, tail wagging at the knock on the door. Riona's out of her bed in a shot, pushing open the door quickly.

And there he stands, still a bit too skinny for her liking, but there all the same with that little smile and stumpy half ponytail sticking out the back.

Normally she'd say something witty or at least an attempt at humorous, given their relationship, but words just... fail her, honestly. Everything has just been so much, so painful for weeks now and finally, finally, she gets a bit of a break. Maybe it won't be for long, he could be gone in a matter of days, but right now, what matters is that he's here in front of her at this moment.

She all but throws herself at him, arms tight around him, hands clamping and digging into his shirt. Again, words don't seem to come, no matter how hard she tries. Her breath hitches, and she squeezes her eyes shut. Maker's breath, she doesn't want to break down crying at the first moment she sees him!]

Anders! [Comes the energetic reply.]

I think welcome back? [Seeing as he's not to sure people really do get sent home or not.] And yeah! Your plants on the Twin Roses are doing great! Well, I may have over watered them slightly at the start, but they're fine now!

[ She can't stop holding on to him, and when she leans back the expression on her face is gentler, her eyes drinking him in. ]

There's lots of things to do, but we've still got our garden. [ Her hand lifts, touching his cheek gently. ] Are you okay?

I don't suppose you could brew a potion to return us home?

[He did say any potion.]

I cannot say anything about the greenhouse, specifically, but the garden is doing well - Maglor, at your service. Well met, Anders.

[His thoughts spin to try and come up with something witty or sarcastic for her, but she's in his arms before he can really even think of anything that could be considered half good.

She clings to him and he easily responds by holding her close, tucking her head under his chin as though to both block out everything else and also hold her together.

She hadn't been in the best mental state when he'd last remembered being on the fleet, Maker knew what else might have happened in the months since and he knew her well enough to know something had happened.]

Hey...I've got you. I'm here.

Vash! [There's a bit of relief mixed in with his happy response. He didn't necessarily think Vash would be gone, he seemed almost a fixture to Anders, but there was always the possibility.]

I'm sure you did just fine, most of those kinds were plenty hardy enough to survive a little extra water. Some like the Spindleweed and blood lotus variant can't be over-watered.
[There's your random plant-fact of the day, Vash.]

Would you mind if I came over to harvest some and look in on it? In exchange, I'll be more than happy to restock your med lab with new potions and medicines.

Ah, yes, I'll put that right on the list; just behind the one that results in immortality and the functional non-creepy love potion!

[Ah, what a wonderful first impression. He is smirking, at least.]

A pleasure, Maglor. To be honest, I'm not certain what plants are in the gardens, I always felt they were a little off-limits as ingredients, seeing as I didn't plant them myself.

[He pauses, something occurring to him.] I believe you knew my partner when we were here last, Adalwolfe Hawke? He spoke fondly of you to me.
