I am a magical ... cursed person, but I haven't had your dream. However, if this is all bodes to this plan-et being utterly destroyed, then I suggest we get organized as soon as possible to take as many of these people with us as possible.

[He sniffs, and takes out a clipboard.] I have come up with a ten part plan to organize and prepare us to share rations amongst us and the people we manage to bring with us, along with sleeping quarters and arrangements for bathing ... for as much bathing as you all do.

[Seriously he is a clean freak but you all bathe way, way too much.]

The Varghest lives in the deserts of the Western Approach, and they have a distant relationship to a wyvern or a dragon. In ancient times, it was believed that they were spirits that manifested themselves into the world. Legend says that the varghest hunts those who have committed great wrongs against their own, and when the creature finds its quarry, it drags the guilty party to the gods for judgment.

[ He punctuates this tale with a flourish and a dragging motion. The briefest of pauses, followed quickly by: ]

Most of that is simply relative to how it hunts its prey.

...well that sounds horrific. And I would not want it my world. Considering that it would probably hunt down my master and try to eat him.

Would this castle in the depths of a forest have anything to do with your enchantment?

Oh, no we have suffered this particular affliction for about ... ten years, my fellow servants and I.

An entire decade and no one's been able to reverse the enchantment?

Well, since we have been here a number of kindly wizards have offered their assistance in breaking the curse.

Much to the disappointment and shame of my parents, but yes. I found it much easier to be myself than be what they wanted me to, screaming on the inside.

I .... I never had such an opportunity, myself. [He is quiet for a moment.] Are you happier?

I was nearly trapped that way myself -- but luckily I became a clock so ... small favors? [A whimsical little smile.] How do - do you just embrace it, or have you ever hidden what you were out of fear of ... censure?

In Tevinter, liaisons of that nature did happen, but they certainly weren't talked about. If they were, it was nothing but a scandal. Of course it was hidden, though I got a bit careless.

[ A hand wave of dismissal. ] But that is in the past. Now? It's not something that I talk openly about, but the oldest habits are rather the hardest to let go of. I don't have to hide it, at the very least. The people I have associated with lately have proven that it's not a big deal.

I've never had any sort of liasons ... [Ah totally wistful.] So now I can envy you in all things, including your incredible good looks.

Though I wouldn't go so far as to be envious. Some experiences are better left undone, and as I said earlier, I am quite capable with magic. If anyone could fix this enchantment, it's me.
