[Even in the midst of this, we still have new crew shuffled in. Nice to see the Atroma are all business as usual, right? Welcoming Kaname to a pretty miserable ship, all things considered. :|]

[Kaname looks up from a screen off to the side, offering a polite smile.]

No, not exactly. I wanted to see how similar the set up here was to back home. I'm not disturbing you, am I?

[Her question's sincere, indicating she'd leave if that was the case.]

Uhh, no, but are you a pilot? [DO YOU WANT HIS JOB. DEAR GOD, TAKE IT.]

I'm personnel. Why, were you trying to find someone to fly the ship?

[Do your job you slacker.]

Yeah, ideally. [Usually Nami does it, but she's f r e a ki n AWOL...

Oh well. Cloud sighs and heads over to the pilot's seat.] Well whatever. Don't let me stop you from lookin' around.

[It's said with an air of playfulness, so she continues her inspection.]

[No...don't smalltalk him......] Uh, no. Probably not, from most perspectives.

[If Cloud looks over, he'll see the cheeky smile on her face. She's definitely picked up the fact he's not a conversational type.]

[ok cool he can stop pretending like he doesn't want to tell her to leave him alone] Sure don't. [He's definitely gonna adjust this seat though. Dang Nami is even skinnier than he is, always moves the stupid thing up way too far.]

That works as well. [She sounds more amused than anything, not remotely put off by his attitude.

But the seat moving does elicit a faint chuckle as she continues to look things over.]

[...ugh. WHATEVER. He doesn't care, she can fiddle around all she wants.

Cloud goes back to very stubbornly ignoring her and messing with the instruments, opening up the viewport panels to get a look at that starry inky sky...and immediately feels nauseous. Great, just great.

He leans forward and lets his head thunk against the main instrument panel, though he just barely manages to bite back a groan. Could she like leave or whatever so he can throw up in peace]

[Without a word, a receptacle of some sort (like a bucket) is placed by his side, having laid in the bridge VERY CONVENIENTLY until now. If he looks up or not, he'll hear the soft footsteps of Kaname leaving the bridge, giving him some much needed solitude.

For the moment.]

[He does in fact look up, just in time to catch the edge of her clothes as she leaves the bridge.

...huh.

Well, it's there and Cloud's going to use it. He's also going to clean up because it's gross and there's nothing more embarrassing than having someone you were snubbing smelling your own sick and judging you for it. Let's get some knockoff Frebreze up in here before she gets back. Thank goodness he raided the janitorial closet.]

[And just as he's cleaning up, the doors open again to reveal her coming back. This time, she's got a glass of water in one hand, and a plate of some food in the other. Blinking in surprise at the lack of smell, Kaname walks over and places them both on the console with a quiet, gentle smile.

Back at the place she was originally inspecting, she picks up her comm that she left there, before making her way back to the door to exit the bridge. No judgement here.]

[Ahhh, shit.

Cloud glowers guiltily at the glass and plate before half-turning in the pilot chair, calling over to the door.] Hey, [and he waits for her to stop before continuing, not quite meeting her eyes,] ...name's Cloud. Been here about three months.

[She does turn, to see if he was okay, but smiles at his begrudging introduction.]

I'm Kaname. Are you feeling all right now?

Don't worry about it. [HE'S WORKIN' ON IT] I'm not usually the pilot anyway.

I'll try not to. [And she means it. Still, no promises.]

So you're not used to it. That makes sense. I know flying or space travel can have that effect sometimes.

No, I. [HUFFS.] I get motion sick. Usually fine if I'm driving, but the whole 'no horizon' thing...I dunno. [A N YWAy] Nami, the captain, she's usually piloting. I'm just making sure I know how to work this crap just in case she's not around.

[Kaname listens and nods when he mentions it, a slight smile creeping into place.]

So you're still trying despite that? That's a pretty admirable thing to do. I'm new to this crew, but I can still say thank you.

Yeah, you're welcome for making the room smell like puke. [Seriously, do not compliment him on this embarrassing display, you're making him feel like a kid] Doubt you're gonna see anything familiar anyway, nobody ever does.

I thought you cleaned it up nicely. Besides, I've smelled worse. [She shrugs a little, not put off by his attitude.]

It's not too foreign either. I'll manage just fine.

Alright. [He's just gonna go back to doing his stuff, you do yours, please don't talk to him]

[Well that was interesting. Seeing his hospitality is used up, Kaname sees herself out.
