I stayed behind to help as long as possible. It's not like I didn't know I'd get a free trip back courtesy of the stupid Atroma, okay. I wouldn't stay behind even if I could.

[She waves a hand in frustration, but hey, at least she answers the question, irritation draining as she speaks. She's just too tired, man.] It's a space station. It was never designed to hold so many refugees. The water they had on hand wasn't going to last long enough, all right? I just... wanted to give them as much time as possible before they had to worry about rationing or... whatever.

They'll be able to get more supplies from waystations and the like. It'll just take time to get organised.

...shit. I didn't- I thought they had enough. I didn't know that. [Even with all that crap he and that little kid and a bunch of other people had hauled up onto the shuttles to take to the station, they were still that low? That's terrifying.] Sorry.

[There's this long pause, which is equal parts Nami trying to keep her feet and not sleep on the spot and a thought that maybe Cloud thinks they're more desperate than they really are. She'd be lying if the idea of playing that up just to get him to look even more guilty didn't cross her mind. But that's just her tetchiness talking right now.

So she sighs.]

Don't think they were immediately dying of thirst or anything. They'd have to ration right down for a while, and they just lost their whole -- their way of life. I didn't want them to have things any harder than they had to be. That's all.

[But if you call her a dumbass again now, she may just kick you on the way out of the room. She'll start trailing for the exit in another sec.] Need a shower.

...yeah. [And he steps out of the way. Sure. Hopefully she'll go get some rest. He'll just...man the pilot seat in the meantime.]
