[Even in the midst of this, we still have new crew shuffled in.  Nice to see the Atroma are all business as usual, right?  Welcoming Kaname to a pretty miserable ship, all things considered. :|]

Kaname Buccaneer. No apologies needed. It'd be strange if you'd made meeting me a priority over everything else that was happening.

[Kaname moves to sit on a nearby crate as well.] Are you doing all right now?

Well, if you ever might not be, I'm apparently personnel here. [Take that as you will.]

You're assigned personnel, yeah. [So sayeth the roster. She smiles faintly.] If you're comfortable with that, then great. I don't want to force anyone into any role the Atroma assigns, just so you know.

[She knows what the personnel officer is meant to do. Which is weird. (Therapists in shounen series? Psh.)]

Sam gave you the rundown, didn't he? I guess all I'd add to that is make sure you're familiar with all areas of the ship, and don't go unarmed if you can help it. Do you have any experience with fighting?

I am, don't worry, but thank you regardless. It's good to hear that.

[Kaname nods, smilling in return.] I've already explored all of it a few times over, so that's covered. And I do, but I'm not fond of it, personally. I know enough self defense.

[She thinks for a moment.] I've been shot at more than most people I think, so I can handle myself under pressure. As for weaponry, what do you expect of us?

[Oh look, a fellow free-roaming target of guns. Luckily marines tend to have about the same skill as a bucketload of stormtroopers, so...]

Mainly I just want to make sure that if our ship gets attacked, you're not a sitting duck. If you feel comfortable carrying a gun or some such, please do.

I know how to use one, but carrying one is not something I've made a habit of. However, I will if it's your preference.

[Captain's orders and all.]

Sorry. For all I know, we may never come under attack again, but once was enough. If you're okay with it, then please do so. But the fighters on board would do their best to keep you safe, anyway.

I appreciate it. Like I said, I'm hoping you never have cause to use it. I won't do a lot of ordering around, anyway. The only time I ever do is to on matters of safety.
