[Tyrion is sitting in the Captain's chair of First Breath, something that should strike you all as strange. He also looks absolutely drained - to the point of making him look almost twice his age. He rubs his hands across his face, as if steeling himself, before he finally speaks.]

For those of you who ... who knew Captain Furiosa, and her friend Max, they ... they both perished back on the planet. According to the people I have spoken to, they died in the successful attempt to get the last ship up and running again. Gil and I - Gil and I ... did not realize they had not made it off-planet and ... and well.

Here we are.

[He looks at his hands for a moment, squeezing them into fists, before he looks at the camera again.]

One of my shipmates has made an excellent suggestion - talking about the threats that might face us from our own worlds - considering how familiar our travels seem to be. I suggest meeting up to find a way to continue our survival, and not make others lives ...loss of lives in vain.

Barry knows better than anyone that these kinds of things don't often come away clean, but he hadn't expected the blow to be this personal. He hadn't expected it to be his captain.]

[It's not easy running a ship on your own after your captain is lost - he wants to make sure he's helpful not harmful.]

Well, what are you currently working on for the ship?

[Might as well get caught up on the day to day.]

[and they'll talk about projects! Mostly because I'm not really sure of anything specific Barry was working on, but it'll eventually end with Barry switching to a private filter]

But mostly I've been recovering from the evacuation mission. Overdoing it with super speed isn't really something you bounce back from quickly, ironically enough.

....Well that makes more sense than anything else.

[And that makes him laugh slightly.]

Which part? The super speed or bouncing back?

Well considering what I know of mutants ... both?

[There's a moment as he blinks at the word, before he realizes what he means. Still getting used to other people's terminology.]

[He looks over at the other man - one corner of his mouth lifting as he takes out his journal.]

Yeah. We're a little different from mutants in that we usually get our abilities in a freak accident of some kind where mutants are sort of born with them?

[He's an old-fashioned kind of genius.]

I see ... so something has happened to you in that regard?

Yep. I got struck by lightning the night a machine called a particle accelerator exploded and it ... accelerated my particles.

... you people can never just make it easy on yourselves, can you? 'I found a magical amulet' or, 'I kissed a beautiful mystical creature who granted me special powers'. No it's painful mutant war or painful metahuman adjustments. Horrible.

Hey man, it's not like we chose this. I would have happily avoided the nine month coma I landed in if I thought there was another option.

I really have to wonder ... but never the less. Here you are, post the coma. And you can run - faster than anyone alive?
