[Tyrion is sitting in the Captain's chair of First Breath, something that should strike you all as strange. He also looks absolutely drained - to the point of making him look almost twice his age. He rubs his hands across his face, as if steeling himself, before he finally speaks.]

For those of you who ... who knew Captain Furiosa, and her friend Max, they ... they both perished back on the planet. According to the people I have spoken to, they died in the successful attempt to get the last ship up and running again. Gil and I - Gil and I ... did not realize they had not made it off-planet and ... and well.

Here we are.

[He looks at his hands for a moment, squeezing them into fists, before he looks at the camera again.]

One of my shipmates has made an excellent suggestion - talking about the threats that might face us from our own worlds - considering how familiar our travels seem to be. I suggest meeting up to find a way to continue our survival, and not make others lives ...loss of lives in vain.

[Private to First Breath]

For those of you who know me, I'm the Captain now. For those of you who don't know me - I am Tyrion Lannister, Engineer, and now your Captain. Feel free to come and ... harass me with questions. I'll be sitting here resisting the urge to drink myself into a stupor.

[ Death is such a common thing back home. It sucks, but people die all the time. Here, though, he didn't really think about people being able to. Maggie had apparently come close when she was here, but.. Actually hearing that Max was dead? It's more shocking than it probably should have been. It sinks in a little more that it's still a very real threat they all face. ]

I didn't think the Atroma would let people die.. I didn't know Furiosa, but I knew Max a little. 'm sorry they're gone.

Hm. Sounds like you need to get absolutely rat arsed, my friend. All the best plans come when you're hammered, anyway.

[He's also DEEPLY CONCERNED about you. ]

[He's still exhausted, and looks it, but Tyrion is a friend. And Khadgar always has energy for the people that are important to him.]

Are you going to be alright, Tyrion?

[Oh.

Barry knows better than anyone that these kinds of things don't often come away clean, but he hadn't expected the blow to be this personal. He hadn't expected it to be his captain.]

Barry. Allen. I don't think we've met yet. I'm your lab support.

[Tyrion looks at this young man with his one eye, and is suddenly reminded of Bran Stark. Little Bran Stark with his crooked legs and his too large, solemn eyes. He heaved out a long breath, before he nods.]

Neither did I ... but here we are. He was a good man and - and he will be missed. Thank you.

[Tyrion rubs his face again, with the sort of weariness that is bone deep.]

I ... have to speak to the crew first but yes. After that. We will drink.

[Tyrion looks at Khadgar for a long moment, as if he's not entirely certain the young man is really there or not.]

I ... eventually, I suppose. I just. I never saw this coming.

[Tyrion nodded his head solemnly.]

Mister Allen, it is a pleasure to finally meet you. If you ... if you need anything, please do not hesitate to ask.

Yeah, he was. He was one of the first people here who talked to me. Said he recognized me from another one of these places. Gave me a knife until I could get my own. He's--was a grumpy asshole, but he was good people.

It doesn't seem like something you can really prepare for. If you need anything, I'm sure I can grab a shuttle and come over.

I am fairly certain the only thing I truly need now is more wine than what is good for me.

[A sad, wry smile, before he looks serious once more.]

How are you holding up?

[Tyrion put his head down, before he nodded his head.]

He was. They both were. They came from a place where they had very little to give anyone -- but they gave it anyways.

People with not a lot to give tend to give the most. From what I've seen, anyway.

[ He's quiet for a moment, considering, before he looks back to the communicator and Tyrion on the screen. ]

What kind of threats do you think might come up? [ Carl does not want to think about the problems from his world surfacing where they go. That would be the worst. ]

Yes ... Yes I do believe you are right.

[He is quiet himself, only looking up when the young man speaks.]

I am not sure. That is why I thought we might all come together, to speak of the possible threats, and to know what we need to know. Hopefully, to protect ourselves.

So long as you don't drink yourself to death, I don't think anyone will argue with you. None of your friends would want to see you leave us too.

[He stretches a little.]

Well enough. I used too much mana getting people off the planet but a couple more days, I should be back to normal.

[This does not ease Crowley's worries at all. Actual concern even shows on his face, for once not hidden by his usual apathetic expression. ]

Good plan. The bed in the office is free- if you need it.

I promise I will not drink myself to death. Considering I would like to avoid it after what we have found.

[He sighs, leaning back in the Captain's chair.]

Good ... good. Take it easy.

[Tyrion sighs, rubbing one hand across his face, before he looks up at the man once more.]

Most of us are from completely different worlds. Our threats aren't really common until we come to this place. I know I haven't been here for very long, but nothing I've seen here has been anything familiar from home. Not really.

I cannot say I have seen anything like this in my world either -- however -- I do not trust the Atroma not to bring our worst nightmares over. Just to see how we react.

Seeing what happened to the planet wasn't enough of a nightmare? As far as nightmares go, that one is..pretty fucking bad.

You make a valid and terrifying point ... [He grimaces.] Perhaps they are looking for new nightmares.

They can't kill us all. [ But they can kill a lot of people to get a reaction. It only takes one or two to drive a point home, but with the number of people in the fleet? ]

It does feel like this isn't over with..

We should have met under better circumstances...

[He'd fully intended to meet everyone on the ship - there weren't that many of them, and four of the nine were from the same world, so no excuse really. He'd only just met Furiosa. She'd bought one of his photos.]

Uh, hi.

Oh .... I would like to believe that -- but my faith is not something I particularly muck about with.

[He rubs his beard pensively.] No. No it does not.
