_{[ The video opens to Kirk's bedroom, his hair damp from what one would hope is a shower. A small curl has escaped against his forehead. He doesn't look particularly grim, but he doesn't seem overjoyed to be awake either. ]}

Good morning, everyone. Looks like I'm finally awake. For those who don't know me or possibly forgot I was here given how long I was alseep, I'm James Tiberius Kirk, captain of the Tourist - but just call me Jim.

According to my first mate, I've been asleep for a month. And I've missed quite a bit, as it turns out.

_{[ He took a breath, his voice sounding a touch guilty, even though going into a coma wasn't his choice. ]}

I would appreciate a check in with everyone, especially my crew - new and old members. And if anyone wants to talk, I'm here.

[ Action - Tourist ]
_{[ Awake and showered, now he needed coffee. Coffee and a real meal. There had been... distractions, before now. He made his way to the kitchen to see if he could coax the coffee maker into being kind and cooperating for once, and that done he took up a spot where he could look out at the stars gliding by - and hopefully catch anyone else coming and going.

Once he had finished the coffee, he would start a walk around the ship, looking to catch anyone he hadn't already and get a feel back for her. ]}

[ Action - Iskaulit ]
_{[ More than anything else he craved exercise. Whatever Atroma did while they were in their comas had kept off any major atrophy, but his body still felt tight and unused. It was certainly uncomfortable, to say the least, and after being told of what had happened he didn't want to be caught in anything less than prime condition.

So the Iskaulit went to avail himself of the facilities, running long laps and then switching to weights and back again. If he saw anyone he would talk, of course. He might even slide into the bar at some point. Most professionals would say that going for a drink after waking up from a coma wasn't the best idea, but considering what he had been told? He thought it a necessary medicine. ]}

I beat you. [Possibly not, but she did post slightly before him and that's something. She's not actually feeling as glib as it may sound. She's heard a lot of shitty things since she woke up. Good luck with that, Kirk.]

_{[ Yeah, it took him a bit before he felt ready to post - for a number of reasons. But mostly he just wanted to seem collected in front of everyone. That's what captains did, regardless of the authenticity of that station. ]}

Heh, I'm rather okay with that, as it turns out.

_{[ A beat, a somber silence. ]}

You've heard what happened while we slept?

[Her posting was a lot easier since she didn't know yet.]

Have you? I mean, did you hear not everyone from the fleet made it out? [Should she be starting with this? She remembers how hard it was for him when Remy simply disappeared. This is...worse. She's not sure how to process it. Especially with Kurt.]

_{[ He nodded at the screen, not saying anything at first. Fenris had told him, as gently as Fenris could, an effort he appreciated. It had been hardest to hear about Remy and Kaidan, though. That had struck a blow, even though he knew it probably wasn't permanent. Or hoped it wasn't. ]}

Yeah, I heard.

How are you?

_{[ He knew Remy and Kitty were from the same if not similar worlds, and were friends. Hearing of his death had to be difficult. ]}

[She doesn't even know about Kaidan or Okita. Maybe others. She's heard about Kurt, Remy, Furiosa, Looma, and Max. Seems like the fleet needs a master list. She doesn't know what to think about the permanence. It didn't stick back in Marina but only toward the end of her stay and they came back in a single day. It's been over a week. And in all her time here she's never heard of anyone dying or returning after dying here. She even asked around early on, but the people she asked didn't know either and then it never seemed that important again until now.]

I've woken up to better news.

I don't think it's really hit me yet. [Oh, she had a reaction when Pavel told her, but she just feels kind of empty now. Hell, maybe this is a nightmare and she'll be waking up from it next.] Everything was fine when I went to bed...two months ago.

_{[ He let out a tight, rueful laugh. ]}

Yeah, it's... it's all a bit much, isn't it? First time in awhile I've felt I've need a drink in the morning.

I won't tell on you if get one.

About ten minutes after I woke up my co-captain went into a coma. [She actually smiles when she says it because it's too ridiculous. What is life?]

[After breaking that news, and that...aftermath- Fenris has returned to his armoury. He spent most of his time on the Bridge while Kirk was out, doing his best as acting captain. Now Kirk is back, he can return to his favourite place on the ship. Nice and safe in his little hidey hole. There's another security officer now, too, but he'll still focus on taking care of his inventory.

He's sharpening one of his (many) swords with a whetstone when Kirk enters. He looks up, offering a small smile. ]

Found the rest of the crew?

What? God... This is all getting a bit ridiculous, isn't it?

_{[ He didn't know what he would have done if Fenris had collapsed just after he woke up. That really would have just been pushing it a bit to much for him. ]}

You need a drink too?

Most of them. I'm trying not to pry or press. Everyone deals with these things their own way, after all.

_{[ He closed the door behind him and came over to his lover, taking the liberty of leaning down and kissing the tip of his ear as they were in private. ]}

Which one is this?

[Crowley has been busying himself with work (or rather, the wandering around aimlessly he calls work) when he sees Kirk enter. He wanders over, leaning on the bar. ]

Oh, hey look. You're awake. When did that happen?

Probably for the best, they need time, is all.

[He smiles at the kiss, the smile turning decidedly wry as Kirk asks the question. He slowly and deliberately points at it. ]

This. Is called a sword, Captain.

_{[ Kirk looked up when Crowley came over, a bit surprised to see him here. But he nodded to him all the same and even manager a little half-smile. ]}

Earlier this morning. I figured I'd celebrate.

_{[ He waved his glass for emphasis. ]}

[The Iskaulit is definitely a popular spot for exercise, not only because of the gym, but also to stretch their legs. Shiro is going through his daily run when he sees a very familiar face.]

Nap time is over, huh. [He catches up with his friend, running by his side, and Kirk is free to notice the fact that even while exercising, Shiro wears long sleeves.] Welcome back, Jim. How are you feeling?

Yes, I know that, Fenris. Some swords have names.

_{[ He rolled his eyes at him, moving to sit down across from him, leaning back against the wall. He should probably do something useful like inventory, but... well, that could wait for tomorrow. He was still processing things, sure his mind would only be distracted if he tried. ]}

You know, your name is interesting.

_{[ Kirk smiled when he saw Shiro. He wasn't entirely sure on the full list of those lost, so it was always a relief to see a friend's face. ]}

Like I haven't moved for a month.

_{[ He huffed around a wry grin as he trotted along, sweat running down the side of his face. ]}

I tend not to do that. Aside from Lethendralis, though even back home I have not used that one for some time.

[He swapped it out when Hawke gave him the Blade of Mercy. He goes back to sharpening the blade as Kirk sits, only pausing minutely when he speaks, continuing his work. ]

It is Tevene. It means "little wolf."

[on occasion, Crowley visits Nami, as she does the same to him. Better to not drink your own stock, after all. ]

That's a rather depressing way to celebrate. I mean, it's a depressing time and all, but still. You don't even have a fancy umbrella in it.

It's practically reality TV. [See what she did there?]

I think if I had a drink every time I need a drink I'd never be sober.

Jim. [ Such relief ]

It is good to hear you awake again, although I did not sleep for as long as you.

_{[ He made a soft noise of enlightenment, followed by a soft laugh.

In my world, 'Fenris' is the name of a mythological wolf. It's the child of another god, and I believe it's supposed to devour the sun or the moon as a part of the end of days known as Ragnarok.

Yes. That is why I was a wolf. It was the same last time.

[Because that was his identity, for so long. ]

Oh? [A smile plays on his lips. ] I was not aware. So on Earth, my name is associated with the end of the world? How...interesting.

[The smile fades and he stops in his work proper, his brow furrowing. ]

...It is the name Danarius gave me.

[A little later in the day, Chekov and Kirk will undoubtedly be in the kitchen at the same time because Kirk missed out on a lot of eating and Chekov just... likes food.]

Captain, hello. [Not as enthusiastic as might be expected, but things haven't been puppies and sunshine (and he did have the fun of telling Kitty that her friends are dead earlier). He looks about as tired as everyone else in the fleet and there's a fading bruise on his jaw.] Thank you for joining us.

_{[ Kirk laughs with him, then sombers when he learns the truth of the
name. He had to wonder why Fenris held to his name if it was one his abuser
had given him, but he was sure Fenris had his reasons. Reasons he would
share if he wanted. ]}
