[This week the stalwart passengers on the SS Redfish loose one of their own! The dashing "tailor" is no where to be found, but in his place a mysterious bearded stranger has appeared? What could possibly happen??

I hope you both won't be too cramped in the space that is provided... But I think having two heads working together is always better than just one.

[and she's glad that Syeira seems to like Zhas. Nunnally also really likes Zhas, and knowing that they're working together and might be able to build a rapport is important to her]

So I expect good things from both of you! [she says that in a light tone. she's mostly joking]

I think we'll be fine as long as we don't try to go through the door at the same time.

[She laughs, but it fades a little, to a small smile, when Nunnally mentions having expectations of her. Expectations. Sye takes those seriously.]

I'll do my best not to disappoint.

[aw, she sees the change in demeanor, and smiles warmly. She's glad that Syeira takes it so seriously, but she feels bad for making her tense up. She didn't want to mix business with hanging out and bonding]

I'm already very very happy that you've joined our crew. [it's a forward motion, but if Syeira allows it Nunnally will reach out and gently squeeze her hand] We can be a difficult crew to get to know, but you've shown nothing bug kindness and determination. I think that's wonderful.

[Not only does she allow it, but she sees it happening in that small second long window, and lifts her hand to meet half way. People...don't really touch her very often, not casually. It's not that she's against it, quite the opposite. She tends to leave the choice of it up to the other person more often than not.]

Thank you. I try. And I like this crew. I want to be a useful member of it.

[hand holding has always been very important to Nunnally through the years. So she can't hide the warmth in her smile with the touch is returned, and it makes her feel closer]

I have no doubt that you will be. [She's... really happy that the conversation has gone this way. Loosing Hange was really hard, but it seems like there's a light at the end of the Red Fish tunnel... things will be okay]

[The moment suddenly makes her think of Imoen, and she feels a pang of homesickness for her sister. She still smiles through it. There's nothing wrong with missing people.]

You should tell me something about yourself. I hardly know anything about any of you still.

[Which the same could be said in reverse. But Sye preferred to hear about other people.]

About me? [hehe, that's so sweet. She notices they're reaching the kitchen... talking about each other over tea sounds nice]

Okay, but only if you tell me something in return. [she holds up a pinkie, testing to see if she's familiar with pinkie promises]

That sounds only fair.

[But no, she's never heard of pinkie promises. So she kind of raises a brow and holds up her own pinkie, because maybe this is a thing where Nunnally is from???]

[ahaha, she stifles a giggle and hooks their pinkies together, raising them up and down. Satisfied with this little bit of whimsy, she lets their hands part and smiles]

Wonderful! [she rolls her chair into the kitchen, and ponders for a bit where to start]

Before I came here, I was a middle-schooler at Ashford Acadamy. [it's only a partial lie. Nunnally... hasn't really talked about the more trying parts of her life with anyone, or the last few month before coming here. A part of her wants desperately to preserve that peaceful time of her life through story. We'll see if it holds]

I wasn't very social, but I helped the High School Student Council from time to time. They were always... very good to me. [her smile looks nostalgic and fond as she speaks of them]

You went to a school with other children? That sounds [crowded. strange. chaotic.] wonderful.

Were you unable to attend school? [she realizes she knows very little about her world, maybe she grew up in extremely different circumstances?]

Actually I was raised in a library. But Candlekeep has a very particular set of rules. The monks there guard a vast amount of knowledge, and you can only enter if you have a rare book to offer in payment. So as you can image, there weren't a lot of young people coming and going. Just me and my sister, Imoen.
