We've arrived to the new system. How are you feeling?

[He doesn't know about the planet bringing back the sensations of the dreams yet, but he worries.]

[When the feed starts, an armor wearing Shiro is sitting down and taking off his helmet as the light blue lights of his suit go off.]

This is Shiro, co-captain of S.S. Blameless.

[His face is serious, and his tone of voice means business.]

Last month, certain members of the fleet had visions about the planet we were visiting and the incident that happened after. But there are certain dreams that didn't find their match there, and it seems this new system has brought those sensations back. So early today, I went down with a teammate that had those dreams to investigate. [He frowns a bit, obviously not pleased with the result.] There are some small towns, inhabited by the orange-skinned people we usually encounter. They're heavily armed, too, because of a group called the Vieziri. They're dangerous, deadly hunters that have made the locals live in constant fear.

[His hold on his helmet tightens - it's frustrating, not having his lion, being limited in what he can help with. But he continues, the natural leader in him shining through.]

I know we can't stay in our ships forever. So if you go down there, please, don't do it alone. The bigger the group, the better. Bring a weapon with you, if you aren't the powered or magical kind. The locals are willing to sell theirs, too. Keep your communicators safe and close at all times, check the GPS function that our fellow fleet members were offering some time ago. Captains, it would be wise of you to know where your crew is at all times.

[He pauses. There isn't much more he can say other than be careful. So how to end such a feed?]

If a situation like Lyuku's must happen again, I can only hope we're better prepared this time. [ #famouslastwords ]

[He's been living off freaking GOO. The gel and dried food are amazing next to that.]

You'll probably get tons of money if this is truly being done for ratings. Save it for meat at the next system, and be sure to watch your food stock for now.

[He tries not to think about the GOO. The goo is inhuman. ]

Assuming of course there'll be meat at the next system. They could be trying to turn us all into vegetarians.

[There's a long pause. ] Okay I was joking at the start of that but then it got a little too real for me. Please don't do that, Atroma.

[padadin]

[He shakes his head. Oh, Sokka.]

Let's concentrate our current system for now. Watch out for your food stock and make sure to have a talk with your crew before even considering going to the planet. And please keep in contact.

[Sorry, Sokka, he's all about the mission now.]

Sure thing, dad.

[You do the space dad thing, he is going to tease you about it, there's no escape. ]

Trust me, I already had that planned. Our food stock isn't great, but I'm not going to risk that planet until we know it's safe- especially after the weird dreams.

[padadin]

[A sigh. While Shiro doesn't mind the nickname much when it's only teasing or sarcasm, he's really not in the mood for it right now. But hey, at least Sokka is being smart about this!]

Good to know. I can only hope everyone will do the same.

[alwayscomeback]

That's a pretty big hope. If there;s one thing we learned from last month is there are a lot of people on this Fleet willing to do stupid, risky things.

[padadin]

That was different. We were trying to save people. [Translation: he does stupid, risky things too.]

People still died. What if they want to save people this time? I understand doing everything to can to save people, I do. But there has to be a point where you have to be realistic. You can't save everyone.

[That is a lesson he's learned and learned hard.]

[padadin]

I know, Sokka. Trust me, I really do. [He sounds tired. Fighting a war has taught him that lesson and many more. It doesn't make it any easier.] I actually offered the natives a place in the Iskaulit, they didn't accept. They're extremely wary.

[alwayscomeback]

I can't blame them. We only have the very vaguest ideas of what happened in the Cycles before us- but we do know Atroma's not a name people tend to take kindly to, if they're in the know. All it would take were some half-whispers sent down from another plant and those are those seeds of doubt already sown.

[padadin]

I think they're more scared of the Vieziri trying to use the chance of them moving to attack - they aren't exactly safe in their towns, but definitely prepared and ready to defend themselves. But you're right - they have no reason to trust us either.

[alwayscomeback]

Hmm, we've just come and landed slap bang in the middle and disrupted everything. All we can hope is that we can leave this place better than we found it. Maybe make a difference for these people.

[padadin]

[A nod.] We did it for Lyuku, I can only hope we do it here again.

[alwayscomeback]

I got faith in us. We'll pull through somehow.

[Oh sweet spirits, he's becoming OPTIMISTIC.]
