[Timing is everything. That fact is something Thor has come to appreciate during the last few years, due to various close calls and missed opportunities. The timing involved in his sudden abduction into the Marsiva and theft of his hammer is a point he would argue with whoever was responsible. Loudly. Except there was no one around, and so he instead applied himself to trying break his way out of the hospitality deck. Several large dents but no real progress later, he's getting frustrated. He decides, quite reasonably, that he has to go with extra force, and so prepares for a running start.

Of course this is the exact moment the Atroma decide to teleport him onto the Blue Fish. Timing, y'know?

The end result is Thor is caught mid-run, slams right into a pilot console (don't worry, it's fine), and goes down with an aggravated yell. A burst of confetti flutters down around him. If that wasn't loud enough to draw attention from anyone in the ship, he's up within a few seconds, and shouting at the roof.]

Stop moving me around and show yourself, you cowards!

[If anyone's game to explain the situation to angry armored guy in a cape trying to start a fight with the Atroma, now's the time.

Later on, once he's sufficiently calmed down, Thor can be found looking through the rest of the ship, checking out all of the rooms and the damage sustained in the crash. He also makes a point to climb up the outside of the ship and survey the landscape... that's a lot of red forest out there.]

[ Timing may very well be everything, because Dorian does happen to catch Thor make a crash landing into the console as he enters the bridge. His intention was to check the communications array. It's rather an impressive display. The burst of confetti is simply the icing on the cake. Instead of being entirely helpful, Dorian leans against the entryway, an eyebrow arched. ]

If you manage to coax them out with only that, I will be quite impressed.

[Oh, so there is someone here. Thor shakes some of the confetti out of his hair and then turns to Dorian, unconvinced this isn't some other ploy.]

And who are you, to speak as though you aren't involved?

We're all involved, of course, though not in the way that I'm sure you're imagining.

[ He doesn't move from his spot, simply crossing his arms over his chest. ]

Dorian of House Pavus, Communications officer of this ship. I suspect you have questions.

[Well that is the distinct sound of someone crashing through the ship.

Luckily the pilot's not at the pilot console, or that would have sucked big time. Instead, Riona's resting in her room when the cacophony starts. She's up and moving in a flash, grabbing her sword along the way. But her panic immediately subsides when she sees bits of confetti floating around. Ah, that's what happened.

Still cautious but less worried, she searches until she finds Thor, who's currently yelling at the ceiling and demanding someone show themselves. Probably means Atroma. Poor newcomers, it's always a tough start.]

They don't like doing that, I'm afraid.

So it would seem.

[All right. Okay. Yelling for them to show themselves hasn't worked any of the times he's tried it, so enough of that for now. He turns to Riona, still on his guard.]

You know of them then?

[At this point he's just glad to have any kind of answers, from anyone. For his part, Thor nods at the introduction, relaxing his fists.]

Thor, son of Odin. And yes, I do. What is the meaning of this abduction?

[ Sweet Maker, Odin has some powerful genes. ]

Entertainment purposes. These Atroma use us as a source of entertainment, however meagerly we are rewarded for it. As of right now, however? We've crashed on a planet filled with cannibals. Lovely, isn't it?

[ He really doesn't sound concerned about it like he probably should. ]

Entertainment? [Frankly, Thor doesn't see the entertainment value in this. The continued absence of Mjolnir is reminder enough of that.] They have no right to do such a thing.

And did you say cannibals?

[Because that is a point that seems like it shouldn't glossed over.]

I do, just like everyone else they've brought here. Like you.

[Riona leans casually against the wall.]

They - or he, or she, or it, or whatever - calls themselves Atroma. Like to kidnap people from a variety of worlds and throw them onto these tin contraptions and hurtle us through space and see what happens.

[Casual or not, the sword hasn't escaped his notice. Even more so because his own weapon is in parts unknown. Thor does listen, however, as Riona goes through her explanation. And it is not comforting in the slightest.]

For what purpose? If it is to cause annoyance then they have succeeded.

They don't care about all that, they must have seen something in you.

Unfortunately, yes. I wouldn't advise going outside alone.

Well I care about it, and they will answer for it before this is done.

[He's not going to let it go. At the confirmation of cannibals existing, Thor crosses his arms with a disgruntled expression. He has dealt with a lot of monstrous creatures in his time, and cannibals... well, they aren't near the top of the list, but it's a heinous concept nonetheless.]

They can't be ignored, and I would know what this world looks like.

[He'll go outside. Just watch.]

Annoyance is just a guaranteed side effect. According to our overlords, we're here as part of a television "reality" show. Entertainment for an audience out there in space.

By all means, go out and survey the land. I'll simply have to accompany you.

[ It's out of the goodness of his heart, although Thor is very pretty, he also has that going for him. ]

It's not a particularly cheery one, by all accounts.

[He pauses for just a moment.]

I have seen television and that still sounds absurd.

[Even for TV.]

But if our kidnapping is for these purposes then where does it end?

[At least Dorian isn't intending to bar his way, which is good enough for Thor. He casts about until he finds the doorway, and strides off in that direction.]

There are many realms that aren't cheerful to look at, but it is still best to see it for yourself.

[After a moment he turns back to look at Dorian.]

You said this ship crashed here. What happened?

[ He's going to follow Thor through the halls until he happens to ask for directions. If not, well. He's here anyway. Thor's a big boy, he can make his own decisions. ]

We were attacked once we were close to the planet. Some of the other ships managed to strafe the fire, but all of us were not so lucky. All things considered, the crash wasn't fatal.

Oh good, it's not just me who always thought it odd. Though I never saw a television before coming here so I couldn't really say otherwise.

[Come on now Thor. You clearly didn't see enough TV.]

A great question. Supposedly there's been a few "cycles" or iterations or what have you. What happened to the ones before, though, we don't know.

[Hey, Thor, sup?

Alistair hears the crash in the bridge of the ship and the shouting. It doesn't sound like anyone he's familiar with, but he's not familiar with anyone here but this particular ship's first mate. Still, that doesn't stop him from approaching cautiously, hands reaching for his newly acquired swords. He might have started off on the wrong foot when he arrived, but he's not keen on walking into an actual trap if he can avoid it. But the bridge is empty when he reaches it and he drops his hands in confusion.

When he finds the newcomer, they're both in the kitchen. And his curiosity is more piqued than his battle senses. Besides, it's not like he's going to find Darkspawn in the galley of this...space ship.]

It's a strange place, right?

[Thankfully, Thor isn't a stranger to spaceships. He thinks (thinks) he can figure out the general layout. All corridors lead to somewhere. His brow furrows at Dorian's explanation; this was a more complicated situation than he had been expecting.

Not that he had known what to expect on the Marsiva.]

Then there are others still in orbit? [That's more promising.] And I suppose that's lucky for us, not these cannibals.

[Forgive him if he's not feeling that lucky yet.]

We don't have television on Asgard, but on Earth it's very popular.

[He saw plenty of whatever Tony Stark wanted to watch, and that's enough for him.]

And no wonder, if the captors hide themselves away so frequently. [God, what a pain. Thor crosses his arms and scowls up at the ceiling again, as if that's going to get the message of his annoyance across to them.] Is there no way of turning the ships elsewhere and escaping?

[Man, everyone has a sword except Thor. He's going to feel left out.

Thor was in the process of weighing up the coffee pot when Alistair walks in, and it catches him a little off guard. So he makes a very deliberate show of putting the coffee pot firmly back on the table, before leaning against it.]

I have seen stranger, but that does not make it more agreeable.

[Nailed it.]

And that is just from being here mere hours.

Asgard is your home, I take it?

[She's heard of Earth. Quite a few people seem to be from there, and a lot of the technology seems to be commonplace there.]

I'm afraid not. You stray out too far, they have some way of just pulling you back. And yes, people have tried. It failed.

[Wow, what a time to bring them a newbie. Sokka genuinely feels sorry for them, dropped right in the middle of a literal warzone. He offers a small wave at the yelling guy. ]

Uh, hi? They're not gonna show themselves. Hate to spoil that one for you, but they never really show their faces much. ...Welcome to the Blue Fish. I'm Sokka.

[Okay, see, Alistair has won these weapons fair and square from all the Vieziri that have tried to attack him so far. Thor should totally take a page out of this king's book.

It's okay, Thor. He still doesn't know what half of the things in this place do. What the bloody hell is a microwave anyway?]

I suppose I have too, but you're right that it doesn't make this easier.

[It's like being in a very strange version of the Fade that he can't escape. And he's not sure he wants to, if what Riona's told him is true.]

I've been here a few days. Others have been here years. Evidently, you get used to it.
