[With everything going on, a trip to the Red Fish to visit her friend seems in line. The Wonderduck felt wonderfully empty, especially considering that half of her remaining crewmates were appliances.]

[Unfortunately for Eleanor, as if the near deadly ride over weren't enough, it's right after that the Red Fish is docked by a Vieziri ship. At least it's nothing they can't handle!]

We need a plan.

We need to keep them away from the armory. They already have weapons, and if they cut us off from ours, we're screwed.

[ The Vieziri are already armed, but if they lose their chance to defend themselves, they won't last. ]

You're right.

[They're barely equipped as it is. They'll need access to more firepower to fight the Vieziri off, and the last thing they can afford right now is the Vieziri having more resources.]

How many entrances does the armory have?

Just one. It branches off from the cargo bay, but we should be able to get to it from the staircase. It's locked, but with the weapons they probably have, it won't hold them for long.

[ He nods down the hallway he'd just come from. ] If we need to, we can draw them away and circle back around.

That's a good plan.

[And incredibly feasible. They might not be able to take them all on at once, but they can definitely defend a single entrance, especially given such narrow corridors.]

[Or, at least she can.]

What are you trained in?

Guns, mostly. A little hand to hand.

[ He's thankful now that he had the foresight to ask Natasha to help him hone his skills. ]

You?

Close combat. Usually I prefer spears, but I can use something else if need be. Between the two of us, I think we should be able to hold the armory.

[As nice as the security augment is, Eleanor is more grateful for her time with the abbey and with Velvet's group. Fighting skills are useful, but knowing the basics of strategy is invaluable.]

Would you be okay with leading the way?

super late, drop if you'd like!

With any luck, they won't get too close, but if they do, we'll be ready.

[ Checking that the coast is clear, he nods and moves down the hallway in the direction of the armory. So far, the coast is clear. Their luck will eventually run out. ]

[Eleanor wouldn't usually get on board with 'murder.']

[But there are always exceptions, and today is a fantastic example. 'Murder' is a fantastic solution when the problem is a hostile alien entity.]

[Eleanor nods at Velvet as she draws her own spear. This is almost starting to feel nostalgic.]

We need some sort of strategy. Did you have anything specific in mind?

[There was a time when Eleanor would have fought this, but she knows better. Velvet's capable enough to know what she's doing, and them arguing about strategy gives the Vieziri more of an opening. They have enough experience fighting together that this shouldn't be a problem.]

Understood. You know the ship better than I do, so it would be better for you to lead. I can cover you.
