1 - Mayoccia Plains
Who: Duke
Broadcast: Yes
Action: For Marsiva
When: Until shuffle-
The thing that bothers Duke most about waking up in a new place is that he woke up... cold. Space? Sure, but more important why can't he shake this chill with rubbing his arms a little.
So he stands and pulls his gloves more snugly up, and looks about. Sure. Space. First time he's seen it. He gives a small jump in place, and upon landing on the floor as normal - a click of metal heels, nods once and sits back on the bed.
So long as the gravity stays in play, he'll like this trip to space much better. Even if something has him fairly sure that 'trip to space' isn't right...
However, that is less important than the stupid cold. He did this to cups before, he can surely do it to a blanket.
The video clicks on as Duke pulled one of the blankets over, smoothing out the edge. He fishes in his pocket, frowns when he only comes up with a dark red spindle of thread, and sighs. Fine then.
Hopefully no one is too alarmed by the scent of singed cloth, because he sure is scorching some sort of angular pattern into the edge of the blanket, one red glowing symbol at a time.
"Well, this is working. That's a good mark for this place...."

I used it just for you <3
[Clearly he's not phased by the backtalk. He rather enjoys it.
Translation: hello, I missed you]
/o/ <3
I am a fire hazard, true. [ He has all this hair, after all. He already knows that it shouldn't be tangled, so pulling his hair over one shoulder to finger comb a little is... just because he's on video with Felix. ]
I would have to get creative if I wanted to try with the walls.

[Also, wow, how dare you distract him with hair. Now he just wants to touch it]

Looks like a similar one to where he's at. Only, clearly not.
And nope, not going to stop. Sucks to be so far away~ ]
And not a room away, clearly. [ He probably would have noticed if he was, because Duke and magic, but. ]
It has to do with this space thing.

Yes. There are multiple ships. That one seems to function as a central point for new arrivals. [He sounds thrilled about this whole thing, naturally]
no subject
Of course it does. So instead of floors and towers, we get pushed off into ships. [ He's confirming the new knowledge. Because there's nothing more suspicious than waking up knowing new things. ]

[ The two times he was in space due to the castle, it was fairly terrible. ]
Then perhaps there will be a lack of previous... ship encounters. [ Event Horizon. There better be nothing like that here. ]
no subject
I wish I could reassure you, but nothing has overtly attempted to kill us all as of yet.

[ ... Even if Duke hasn't tried casting anything out in space. He should do that. All he usually needs is line of sight... ]
no subject
[He knows how powerful Duke it. He's not even going to pretend]
laughing that they're talking about this and then not long later...
[ Yes, Duke can blow things up, but Felix does better at the protecting via.. actual protections. ]
ironic foreshadow ftw

[ Because even if these ships are metal, this could be a problem. Fire and.. that electricity stuff.
... He wants to work on this, even if all his New Knowledge seems to be about.. how to blow other ships up. ]

[ Or burned, carved, what ever makes it stick.
At least, that's what Duke thinks is the problem. ]

What material is it that would be considered grounding?

[ Not even in the same area as each other and planning magic projects. Oops. ]

[It's comfortable enough for them. Easy to pretend nothing is out of the ordinary]
no subject
[ Its very comfortable. ]
... I have no idea how to actually go about shaping stone. [ Beyond taking a hammer to it. ]

[ ... He's starting to think he could try applying wind magic just so.
But, well, he has nothing to attempt this on, so... ]
