[The video opens to what appears to be only Riona and Anders, standing shoulder to shoulder. Someone paying attention might notice someone else behind them, purposefully hidden.

Riona and Anders look a bit excited, and quite pleased. She glances over her shoulder briefly at someone, but her head still blocks most of the shot. When she turns back, she’s grinning.]

Ladies and gentlemen of the fleet, there’s someone we’d like you to meet. Or, maybe reintroduce for some of you.

[Anders steps aside, giving a grand wave to the person behind them and finally revealing him their captive audience.

It’s an unfamiliar and very attractive man with swept back hair and piercing blue eyes. (The shade of which may be familiar to anyone who might have known Anders back when he had a glowing problem.) The man in question has a seemingly perpetual frown on his face, standing stiffly without actually moving. He’s so still that it’s almost like he’s not breathing. (And those who know him, even if they don’t recognize him, might pick up on the note of vague confusion in the furrow of his brow. He does not know why this has become such a production, but it’s past the point when it’s worth the effort to restrain his friends.)

Anders’ grin could light up a room. It’s clear the two Wardens are very pleased with themselves.]

Please give a warm welcome to Justice: new and improved. For those of you who know him, Riona and I decided it was time for a bit of a makeover; something to improve over ‘dead and decaying.’ Those of you that might not have met him yet, you should! He’s really very nice.

[And now a 100% more approachable.

Justice, for his part, glances at Anders with slightly narrowed eyes. Anders, are you trying to make friends for him? He’s pretty sure you’re trying to make friends for him. Oh well. He dips his head towards the camera, and when he speaks, it’s the same deep rumble as before.] Greetings. If you did not know what to call me prior, I was the spirit who appeared to be dead.

[Riona nods, and wryly adds:] You may remember him as looking like a walking corpse who doesn't blink. We didn't want people to be putoff by his appearance anymore. Hard to get to know people and mingle with mortals when everyone thinks you're an undead shambler.

So say hello and chat him up. Or just ogle him. [She gives a wink and a wave.]

[ That works, right? ]

[And lo, here comes Fenris to rain on everyone's parade. It must be a Monday. Or any day of the week. Because this is what he does best. He keeps his tone even, at least, no yelling- though there's a distinct undercurrent of distrust here. ]

How did you do it? Please tell me it isn't possessing some native to this world.

[It works by Justice's standards. He dips his head in acknowledgement, and while his appearance has changed, his mannerisms have not. He still doesn't blink as he looks at her, but now his eyes are vivid blue instead of covered with cataracts.] Thank you. Riona and Anders were very particular about it. [More particular than he would've been, but that's why they're the ones that can navigate mortals no problem, he guesses.]

Oh, there will indeed be ogling.

In a respectful, remembering he's the literal embodiment of justice kind of way.

By the way, Justice, how are you feeling with the new form?

[Did you want to offend him? Because congrats, Fenris, that's totally what you did.]

I would never. [The statement is sharp and firm, his bristling clear but his temper tightly controlled. He would never possess some hapless native for his own ends.] I changed my own appearance. This form is mine and mine alone.

[Maybe that requires some more explanation, like the whole 'Turns out Atroma has the power to make spirits manifest' thing, but Justice is too busy being cranky. The angry elf hadn't been this hostile before--clearly, he's learned that Justice is a spirit since they last met. Too bad this is how he's responding.]

It feels like any other form, with the benefit of not resembling anyone else in particular. I believe it will prove to be more functional than my previous one, as it does not immediately put mortals on edge.

I imagine it is strange for you to see someone change form. [Yeah, that's what Justice assumes the ogling is about. Guess who has no idea how hot he is now?]

[ It's comforting to see him still acting the same, even if everything else about him is wildly different. Her heart thuds in her chest before she shakes it off - he's still Justice. It doesn't matter what he looks like. ]

Dare I ask how they were particular?

[The answer to that question is ALWAYS YES.

Fenris wants to bite back that there's a lot of things Justice probably never thought he would do-
but he certainly does them. Did he ever think he would be part of the murder of countless innocent people? Probably not. He bites it down though, grimacing.]

How, then? I was not aware that Atroma was of a mind to give out fresh, empty bodies.

Fenris.

He wasn't given an empty body, it's still his own, he just changed how he looks.

Call it a 'spirit thing' but no one else was involved besides Justice and the suggestions Riona and I gave him.

[Miraculously, he isn't picking a fight, he's just...trying to hold two ends of rope. This was much easier when he simply didn't care what Fenris thought.]

Not as strange as one might think, after everything else I've witnessed. Remember, you aren't the first spirit I've met to have a physical form all their own.

Yours is very pleasing to look at.

It is not an empty body. It is me. I have been me and only me since arriving here.

[Yeah, he just chose to look like a corpse for a few months. Yes, feel free to question his judgment there.]

This place lent my true form physicality. Do not ask me how, for I do not know.

[Justice is obviously bristling and snippy, clearly not appreciating the implications here.]

They were quite specific about things such as jawline and cheekbones.

I do not know the reason, but this is why I needed mortal assistance to make my own form, I suppose.

[He is still confused but it seems like people like the new look so he'll work with it.]

Is it? I would not know.

[Maybe that's why Riona and Anders were so specific about some things...]

OH good! Now he doesn't look like he's rotting! [beaming smile.]

Well, I happen to be a connoisseur of handsome men and I can tell you from what I can see your form is very pleasing.

I would have to see it in person to solidify that opinion though.

Either way, what is more important is that you are comfortable in it. That is 'fits right' so to say.

How do you feel Justice?

[The fact Anders ISN'T picking a fight at least stops Fenris from setting on him like a rabid animal. He doesn't LIKE this, he's tense and uneasy, like he wants to start pacing. The spirit could look like ANYTHING it wanted and none of them would know any different...that, that is not a good thought to have. ]

I was not aware it could do that.

[He's not even trying to keep the biting fear out of his tone, which at least says something about how much beyond that wall of his he will allow Anders to see these days. ]

...Does it plan to remain wearing that face?

[Justice come on buddy, that's gross.]

How generous of Atroma to do such a thing. How wonderful to have you wandering around, able to wear any face you so choose.

[The sarcasm is REAL. ]

Fenris, it's his own body. Anders and I saw the whole thing, he didn't possess anyone else, I promise.

[Justice wouldn't have done that, and even if he tried, she wouldn't have allowed it.]

Spirits can change their form in the Fade. It seems Atroma granted him that ability outside the Fade here.

Indeed. It is my hope that I will not unsettle mortals so with this appearance.

Thank you. [He thinks. Honestly he's noticing how many people seem particularly enamored with this new appearance.]

I feel as I did before. Changing my form is as natural for me as breathing is for you. It seems that this form does not disturb mortals as much as my previous one, which is the intended effect.

[Resistance is futile, Lei. Best to give up now.]

I have little preference beyond functionality. This form functions well and mortals are not disturbed by it, so I am content.

It seems that you all have stronger opinions about it than I do. [He's noticing a pattern.]

[Justice is stuck wondering which he prefers: Anders' boyfriend's tense awkwardness, or the angry elf's blatant confrontation.]

If you wish to express the reason for your displeasure, speak plainly. I do not have the patience for implication and snide comments.

[...Huh. Justice squints off camera towards Anders and Riona. Yes, he's sure they did that on purpose.]

I have taken many forms stranger than this. It looks like no particular mortal and it does not make others uneasy. That is all that I wished.
