[The video opens on Thor. For those who've met him, it might take half a second to realise that, because his appearance has markedly changed. His long hair has been hacked short, and he's wearing an eyepatch over his right eye. It's weird. It doesn't even have a strap. Even his armor is different, much less flashy and looking worse for wear than the other silver set he'd had previously.

The look on his face is a bit harried, but he starts off with a long drawn out:]

So... [This just had to be his first address to the network, didn't it. Thanks, fate.] Hello. I had heard before that people in this place could fall asleep and end up back home for a while. It seems I now count myself among them. I have to say it's much more confusing to experience yourself. I think it's been only a few days here.

[He rubs at his chin a bit, looking off to the side in thought for a moment. This whole business on top of everything else makes him feel downright exhausted.]

Doesn't feel like it, though. [Thor returns his attention to the communicator, with a little shrug and less of a pensive look.] I'll add it to my list of grievances against the Atroma. I'm sure we'll have a library's worth to throw at them before the end.

If anything has happened in the last few days, I would be glad to hear it. If we haven't yet met, I am Thor, son of Odin, God of Thunder, and king of Asgard.

[It still sounds strange to him, though he trucks through it as gamely as he can.]

Rogers, Natasha, I need to talk to you both.

Oh-- [He smiles a bit, though it's a shade deadpan.] And happy new year.

[Later, Thor sets about re-familiarising himself with the Blue Fish again, poking around the rooms and going through the kitchen cupboards. He could honestly use the distraction that pointless busy work can give, or conversation with anyone he happens to run into.]

[she hangs up, and while it's so very tempting to go drink on her own for those few hours, she'll wait. THIS time]

[After two hours, Thor does show up as promised, walking into the area with the kind of distant glance around that speaks to having not been here in a while. When he spots Tempest, he gives her a wave and heads over.]

Hello again. Tempest, wasn't it.

[she's still without a hand, so when she spots Thor coming her way she tucks it underneath her arm, nodding in return to his wave]

Mmhmm, hello Thor. Do you have a preference in bars? [since there's two and one is more colorful than the other]

No, not really. They're about the same to me.

[They aren't the same at all, Thor.]

[a little dryly] They're very different, actually.

[but okay she's leading him into the Malum, if only because it suits her tastes better]

[Thor glances around at the bar, but he doesn't recall much of the decor. Was it this one or the other that he'd visited with Natasha? A small detail to forget normally, not so much when it's been a couple of years.]

You weren't the only one to suggest I needed a drink, you know.

I'm not surprised. But I bet I'm the only one who offered to buy you one and drink with you.

[it's very likely she's wrong, but who cares. She gestures to one of the tables closer to the corner] Shall we?

[He glances to the corner and nods, making his way over there.]

Well, that's just rude.

[she slips into the seat across from him] Do you have a preferred drink? Or should I just order the strongest thing they have.

[well then, she'll just go ahead and do that - enough for both of them]

May I ask how long you were gone for?

[He takes the glass gratefully when it arrives.]

Two years, roughly. Give or take a few months. Much of the Fleet feels distant to me at the moment.

Mmm . . . [her expression sobers a little] I was gone almost a year myself when it happened to me.

It's an appalling thing to do to a person.

Indeed. Were there some warning beforehand, perhaps it would not anger as much. But there was none whatsoever.

No... I would still be angry.

[He takes a sip of his drink.]

Mmm . . . good point.

[she takes a sip of her own drink] What angers me most, I think, is that it was just me. There is someone else who was with me in my world, but he has no knowledge of what happened whatsoever. To him, I was only asleep for two days.

Ah... it will be the same for me. I have friends here from home, but I already had not seen them for some time before this. Even with what I have now gone through, none of them were there for it. I will have to explain it.

[He doesn't relish the thought. The horror of it all is still too fresh.]
