[Sam Winchester got himself a gift from the Atroma — and he admits, he's really jazzed to see Gracie the tiny tooth fairy once again. She can be seen fluttering about in the background, exploring the area with interest and getting into all his drawers and under his bed and around his book collection — she's always been particularly snoopy, huh. He sits like he's making it a point to take a break from his reading and writing and whatever the hell Sam Winchester writes into his copious amounts of journals; the chair he's sitting in is backwards, his arms resting across the backrest.]

Alright, two things:

One, what'd you get for Christmas.

And two, what's your new years resolution? C'mon. We all gotta have something we're working on this year, right?

Mine's... I mean, the usual — kicking the Atroma in the junk. But I mean more along the lines of a personal thing anyone can focus on.

[A short time later, he speaks again, but this time in text.]

An important thought, though. For those who might be interested in talking about it...

The visions we'd gotten for the singing planet, they weren't just for the one who was getting hit by a meteor.

The dream I'd had was about the cannibal planet, which came along later, so the thing is... there's still one more unaccounted for, isn't there? Didn't we have more than two different dreams? Just kind of worried we're coming up on Shitty Planet Number Three, and after how bad the last two were, I'm worried about the potential for even worse situations. This current planet's been okay, but please... be careful. I just have a bad feeling about this whole visions thing.

Are you saying you've had a tooth fairy this whole time? [A tooth fairy boss?]

... Okay, not whole time. Here, anyway. She actually just showed up, but... she was with me throughout my time in Adstringendum, and times between when I'd visit from home. I didn't exactly think it was a good idea to teleport her into my world... all things considered.

Didn't want a tooth fairy turf war? Was that it? Please tell me that was it.

Actually, the... tooth fairy is unfortunately... not of this world anymore, back home.

You guys didn't...hunt her did you?

Oh, no. No! Of course not. I like — well I've never met her. Him. Them? A buddy of mine was a dentist for a little bit, I guess, and he... accidentally killed them thinking they were an intruding monster in his office...

[Or something like that.

Garth is a kind soul, so he can imagine it was a terrible misunderstanding.]

I'm a little concerned about general monster testing standards for your world. [How fast would a hunter be after her if she was there?]

It's definitely not a perfect system by any means.

I know that firsthand. As a hunter and as someone who was suddenly being hunted.

When were you hunted?

... Kind of a long story, but the biggest one that comes to mind was a local hunter who got a tip-off that I had the ability to see the future, through, um. Visions. He'd learned it from a demon he was exorcising at the time — learned that our powers were given to us by demons for some demon army when we were kids.

He figured we were all evil and had to be killed before we killed back.

Sam, you have had a life with a capital L. So, you get visions? Do you ever see the new systems or threats coming before we get to them? [She's so ready to embrace your powers even if they were demon-born.]

So I've heard...

[He stammers a bit near the end of her question, though.]

I don't — that's not really something I get anymore. I mean, the demon who caused them died, so I think... it's gone with him. I don't really wanna try to tap back into any of that, anyway; demonic, and all. I've seen those visions recently but they were visions everyone else got, so...

[She nods.] So back to no powers like I was assuming before this? [Too bad. She likes bonding over having powers that make a person hated. Not that he doesn't have the memory of it.]

... I... think so?

I haven't exactly — tried.

Really? Nervous about finding out for sure?

[He winces.]

... A little bit. It's not... something that's gone down well in the past. Ever.

Somehow that doesn't surprise me.

I don't think I'd be able to resist finding out even if I was hoping for no.

Yeah? I guess the worry about it going wrong overshadows it...

But, um. I think... I've slowly been coming to terms with the idea that it might not be... completely evil. I mean, I'm not evil. I've figured that much about, so — go me?

I would probably try to emphatically convince you that powers aren't evil, they're just an extension of yourself if I hadn't body swapped with someone in my last place who had powers that felt...well, evil.

But good on you for not letting it affect how you see yourself. [Because she could see where that part would be hard.]
