002 In The Bleak Midwinter (OTA)
Who: Sansa Stark & You!
Broadcast: Entire Fleet
Action: On Selvin-9
When: 10-11 January
( Sansa hasn't addressed the entire fleet since she'd first arrived around a moon ago but she feels like if she's going to make an expedition down to the planet below, she ought to have some company. This isn't something she's familiar with, travel through the stars, and the information she's been given about the land beneath them seems appealing. She wants to feel a true ground beneath her feet again and the lure of snow and all that comes with it is hard to ignore. She's pink-cheeked and slightly optimistic when she addresses the fleet. )
I've been wanting to go down below to the planet but since this is my first experience with it, I wondered if someone might like to accompany me? I know my ways are likely different from most of yours but I appreciate your indulgence just this once.
( She presses her lips together and chances a bit of a smile. )
I've heard there's treats and things? It might be nice for a day or so.

( When Sansa gets down onto Selvin-9, the first thing she encounters are snow leopards. They're small, beautiful little things that look rather like spotted jungle cats only their coats are white as snow. She's never heard of such a thing in Westeros and she immediately wants one upon setting eyes on them playing around. She asks around and it seems they're quite tame and able to be taken as pets so she has one on a length of ribbon, a lovely creature she's started referring to as Jonquil. She looks to the person next to her, someone who seems like they might be from the fleet as well. )
Do you see her? Isn't she amazing? I haven't had a pet in a long time. It's just a pity this one won't grow to be much larger than it is right now. I could use something to protect me.

You fail to offer me any incentive to do so.
My homeworld is a barren desert in the orbit of two suns. The cold alone is more than enough to make me uncomfortable.
[And since most shops don't seem to have much need to carry winter wear for 7'6" four-armed, walking mountains... well, just guess how prepared she is to deal with snow.]

I could pay you in credits, I suppose. It sounds like your home is more like Dorne. I've never been to Dorne myself, of course, but it's described as a desert and it doesn't get cold even in winter. There's two suns, though? Truly?

[She could probably tough it out for a little while with... minimal complaining, if it meant their first stop would be someplace to get warmer clothes. Not that she'd ever stop wearing her armor, but traipsing about barefoot through the snow and without any actual pants was not something she was looking forward to.]
Yes, though it is not so remarkable. Some of the most deadly creatures in the known galaxy call my world home- that receives far more attention than our suns.
[Tetramands included, to be honest. Politically they want to be left alone, and the rest of the galaxy is more than happy to oblige them.]

We can find you something to wear, I promise. I'm a quick hand with a needle and thread, so if I have to alter something quickly for you, I could. It's possibly not what normally happens on these types of expeditions but I would be happy to do so in order to ensure your comfort.

[If only because there's usually a lot of open discomfort and/or arguing, but hey. The fact Sansa remains diplomatic, respectful, and unusually open-minded for her kind gets her a lot of bonus points.]
But I have reason to believe you may be an exception. So long as you uphold your end of this arrangement, I will accompany you. I have business of my own to attend to before the fleet leaves this planet.
[Getting real food, mostly. And lots of it. The protein gel keeps them alive and fed, sure, but it's also something she finds absolutely revolting just for existing, so she doesn't miss a chance to obtain something less... *gooey* for herself and her crew.]

The food here definitely leaves some to be desired. I will hold up my end of the bargain, you can trust that. How long will you need before you will be ready to accompany me?

[That would be what her pair of tiny engineers were for, after all.]
I can be ready within the hour.
action
waiting for Looma. She has no doubt she'll recognize the woman once she's there, given how she looks, but she hopes Looma has no issues finding her. Once she spots her, she calls out. )
Looma! It's Sansa. I'm here.
action
Once the door opens, she immediately tucks her lower arms in close and does her best to fight back a scowl. She does not like the cold. Frankly, she'd be holding all her arms close if she could, but aside from operating shuttle doors, she's also carrying around a positively massive warhammer. But at least she doesn't appear to be actively preparing to hit anyone with it once she's squeezed out of the shuttle, Sansa included.]
Let us find somewhere warmer- quickly.
[Sansa can probably rule out any leisurely stroll or a nice chat in the snow. At least until Looma's got something on to help deal with the cold, since metal armor is likely only going to add to the discomfort. It's also safe to assume that Looma's not going to be in the mood to stop once she does reach her, any further interaction will definitely take the form of a walk-and-talk.]
Re: action
We'll go this way and get out of the weather. I would offer my cloak but I don't think it would be much help, would it?
