[As if waking up on a strange ship alone wasn't enough when Ulaz knew he shouldn't be there, now he was on yet another ship. This really was not funny. His attempts to try and get information through hacking had been poor at best and he was no closer to figuring what had happened.

He had learned one thing though; he did not like confetti. It was not amusing in the least.

He'd been pretty much silent so far - if being a Blade had taught him nothing else, it was how to make as little noise as possible. But now he doesn't really have a choice]

Can someone explain what is going on here? First I was on one ship and now another, neither of them where I should be. This must be a joke.

[And why does he say that? Hmm...]

Tiny bits of...Oh! The confetti. No, that's for celebration, not humor. There should be pudding too.

So you throw... confetti at people for celebration? Sounds like a way to annoy them.

Oh, the pudding is the uh, creamy sweet food. It's not quite solid or liquid.

I don't see the point of it. Doesn't seem very celebratory.

Sounds a lot like the food that Alteans serve on their ships went they are traveling. Of course theirs is green.

It tastes better than any of the other food they readily provide here. But wherever you came from probably had better than that so it's hard to appreciate first thing.

[Considering some Galra believed food was only fuel and nothing else mattered about it? And he'd been alone for sometime? Yeah, probably wasn't the most culinary of options back home]

They were a race that existed a long time ago, killed out except for two that I know of. Most of the advancements in our world outside of those made by the Galra were made by the Alteans.

[Did the green stuff kill them off?] I haven't heard of the Galra either. That happens a lot here. I was more universely back home.

[Nope. Ulaz only knows about the green goo the Alteans eat while traveling. He's never had the pleasure of trying it]

You at least have an idea of what Galra look like now. I am Galran.

The Alteans look similar to your kind, but they have pointed ears.

[Then you can't be sure it didn't!]

Oh! Well, hello. I'm a Daxamite. I'm also Mon-El.

[Well, the two he's met and the paladins have died yet, but he can't be sure if its the same consistency after so long]

I can't say I've heard of a Daxamite before, but that seems to be the way it is here.

It does indeed. But it's nice to meet you now, Ulaz. You're going to find a lot of the people here look Daxamite, but they're mostly humans from Earth.

Are Daxamite and humans similar? I would have thought that you were human based on what I know.

We look similar. And how different is anyone really, right? There are some noticeable differences though.

What sort of differences?

I'm considerably stronger and faster. And good at ... jumping. [That never sounds cool.]

I see. So a race that looks exactly like humans, but with better physical advantages. I wonder the odds of that happening if neither race had been in contact with the other.

Well, humans haven't had the same kind of space faring abilities we had. We were aware of them before, but not in an intermingling way if that's what you mean.

Not necessarily the two races being related, but the fact that they look so similar when I'm assuming the two planets are not in the same area.

No, we're a little further away. Although it took me longer to get there than usual since I got stuck in the well of stars for awhile. It is strange how it all works out though. There are all sorts of ways to look.

Well of stars? I am unfamiliar with this term. What is that referring to?

Oh, well, it's a place in space where time doesn't exist. I was in there for a few decades.

I see. This is something created by the gravitational pulls from the stars?

[Since it is called "well of stars" it makes sense to him]

You got it in one! Though I can't tell you a lot about it really other than it's great if you want a really, really, really long nap with no aging.

[Successful guess! But then again when your organization's base of operations was strategically placed between two black holes, you kind of did know a thing or two about how gravity of that scale worked]

Interesting. Too bad the gravity pull itself can't explain that by itself. If you ever find out why it happens, I'd like to know.

That feels like something I probably won't learn more about while I'm here, but if I do, you're my guy. [Gives him a little finger point to drive the promise home!]
