[As if waking up on a strange ship alone wasn't enough when Ulaz knew he shouldn't be there, now he was on yet another ship. This really was not funny. His attempts to try and get information through hacking had been poor at best and he was no closer to figuring what had happened.

He had learned one thing though; he did not like confetti. It was not amusing in the least.

He'd been pretty much silent so far - if being a Blade had taught him nothing else, it was how to make as little noise as possible. But now he doesn't really have a choice]

Can someone explain what is going on here? First I was on one ship and now another, neither of them where I should be. This must be a joke.

[And why does he say that? Hmm...]

I see. Are those positions assigned at random much like the other positions or is it determined by the crew?

I'm not sure. I've never asked, actually.

[He hadn't thought much about it, considering the whole thing is a sham to start with.]

You could always ask the captain on your own ship.

[Yes, it's probably not relevant considering most of the positions seemed to be assigned by the Atroma and may or may not have anything to do with actual skills prior to being brought here, but the position of captain was still a leadership and could be required to act in an emergency so it was something he wondered about]

It may not matter much in the scheme of things, but there are times when the Fleet is in dangerous situations where it could count. I know my own ship's captain told me much about this place when I arrived.

Dangerous situations? Such as?

[Not that Ulaz is a stranger to dangerous situations, but it would still be nice to know more about what he'd gotten himself into without even knowing it]

When I first got here, the ships had been shot down and stranded on a planet full of hostile natives. It took a battle to put things right enough to finally escape.

... Seems about right when traveling through random stretches of space. Doesn't make it anymore pleasant. And is a good reason everyone should have a weapon.

A good reason, yet not everyone is trained in battle. I am told such events are rare in the Fleet. It still pays to be on our guard for the occasions when they do happen.

Of course. You can't let your guard down if something might come after you. Especially if not everyone is prepared for something to happen.

I would wager most are, especially those who have been here for a long time. It has been an interesting few months even in the time I've been here.

What has happened since you've been here?

Well, there was the battle that I mentioned. I have been told of visions some have had which portend another catastrophe in the future. We landed on a strange snow planet, which was mostly fine, though the bears were dangerous. I also fell asleep and went through two years of changes in the course of a week.

That is something that happens here on occasion.

Sounds like a lot has happened since you have been here.

But you said there are those who are having visions?

Had them. I have been told it was a while ago, and two out of three visions have occurred in the time since. There are some who expect the third vision to make itself known in a similar way.

That is disconcerting depending on what that vision was or will be if two have already occurred.

I think so as well. If you want to know more about it, seek out Sam Winchester. He is the one who told me the details, and seems to have it all recorded.

Sam Winchester... If I meet him, I'll be sure to ask. It would be interesting to know what these visions are.
