[Part of this includes the purchase of several potted plants that she's used to decorate the lounge and kitchen. At the beginning of each day, she can be found watering the plants and doing general upkeep, including dusting and cleaning.]
[Otherwise, she's usually curled up on the sofa in the lounge with a set of paints, or enjoying a cup of tea in the kitchen. Even if she's not going out of her way to make contact with her ship mates, she at least looks less miserable now.]

Did you bring those?
no subject
Yes. If we're going to be stuck on this ship indefinitely, it seemed worthwhile to do something to make it feel like home.

[ He's not the one with the green thumb in the family, but it wasn't as if there was time back home anymore. ]
They do make things feel a little less like we're stuck here.

[Rose is a little concerned how long it took her to start doing this. It's helping her feel better already.]
If you'd like, I can show you how to take care of them. It's not difficult at all.
no subject
[ He'd feel bad, okay? ]
no subject
[That said, she is curious.]
Is there something you're worried about? Because I can assure you; the easiest way to 'accidentally' kill them is to do nothing at all.
no subject
[ He offers a shrug. ] I don't know if it's just one thing. I've never really been good at keeping things like plants.
no subject
Where did those come from?
no subject
The previous planet. They really help the ship feel more like home, don't you think?
no subject
Yeah, I guess.
[Velvet isn't super picky, honestly. You stop being particular after living in a pit for three years. But she does appreciate plants. She definitely likes the planets with plants and forests more than the ones with big cities, anyway.]
Are these ones edible?
[It might be nice to have their own herbs and the like.]
no subject
[Rose moves to the next plant and begins watering. It shouldn't be too long before they sprout.]
But that is a good idea. If these plants can take to this environment, it might be worth it to invest in some herbs the next time we dock.
no subject
Yeah. Assuming the next planet isn't another nightmare planet.
[She hopes their next stop will be more like the snow planet. Relatively pleasant and useful.]
no subject
It would be nice if that were the case, but I doubt we'll be so lucky. The Atroma don't seem particularly merciful.
no subject
[Velvet's honestly not sure if there's a pattern to this kind of thing or not. Maybe it all depends on the whims of the Atroma.]
no subject
[Things tend not to work out in her favor anyway, though, so she's more pessimistic by nature.]
That being said, I am worried. Leaving that last planet, something felt unfinished.
no subject
She raises an eyebrow.]
Unfinished. How do you mean?
