Hey, guys! I'm Steven, I'm really new here! I was wondering if anyone else here was magic? I mean, I know there's a bunch of warriors here, which is really cool, but I figured I should keep up my magic practice as well. I could do it on my own, but it's way more fun to practice with friends, right?

[ She purses her lips and narrows her eyes. ] I feel like a lot of people would probably disagree.

...okay, good point. [ Do not be Batman about this, Steph. You know how annoying that is... ] Monsters still gotta be fought, right?

You'll have to show me some of that magic sometime.

Oh, I can show you right now if you want!

Really? I mean, if you don't think it'd damage the ship or anything...

Nah, it'll be fine!

[With a little hup he gets to his feet. A moment of concentration-- and then a large bubble pops into place around him. It's almost blindingly pink, frankly, and Steven's voice is muffled as he talks.]

Bubble!

[ Steph's face lights up as the bubble pops into existence. She especially approves of the color. ]

Okay, that's kind of cool. Is it some kind of shield or something...?

[ She reaches out, cautiously, to touch it. ]

[action]

[realhumanbeing]

[Though it looks soft, the bubble's surface isn't malleable-- it's hard, like plastic, and doesn't bend under the pressure. It moves a little as she touches it, though, rocking gently in place.]

Yeah, sorta! I have a shield too, but--

[He shrugs.]

This is way easier.
