[ It's just about Han's luck that he, uh. Oversleeps.

That is to say, he wakes up on the Marsiva and has barely enough time to get his bearings-- to find his blaster missing and sidle over to the wide windows in the viewing bay to stare out at the unfamiliar stars-- before--

Okay, he actually has no idea before what. What happens. One minute he is quietly, definitely not panicking about the fact that he has no idea where he is, and then he's somewhere else with less idea of where he is, and confetti.

It takes him a few minutes more to catch up and (sort of) figure out the communicator, and by the time he actually tries to reach out, he looks visibly harried. ]

Okay, look, I really don't have time for whatever this is... And where is my ship?!

[ Because that is definitely the most. important. question. of all! ]

Yes, it would seem we are stuck. We can travel between ships without issue, but as for getting away from the fleet, that seems to be impossible.

I suppose the correct phrase is "nice to meet you", but given that we had no choice in the matter, we were going to meet anyway.

Well, I mean, it could be a worse meeting.

How big a crew is on this ship?

It could be. It could have required a fight to the death.

This ship is one of the smallest, four as of this moment. Doudanuki is the communications officer, Baku is personnel, and I am lab support, also called a medic. I'm sure your augment will tell you what position you have.

I try to avoid those whenever I can.

[ And win them whenever he can't, but since he's not dead that's probably self-evident. ]

There were other crew members before as I understand it, but I don't know what positions they held. I would guess you might be if that's what you feel you are.

That's what I've always been. If I'm supposed to be something else I don't wanna hear about it.

Then I would think that is your position. I myself have some piloting skills, but the augment they gave me was lab support, which gave this ship the medical bay. So there is probably an upgrade related to having a pilot.

Me as your pilot is an upgrade.

[ Han flashes a grin, about as harming as he can make it. See? It's funny. But also undeniably true-- at least, in his own opinion.

He's not really sure what the rest of that means-- but, well, they'll figure it out. At least he's not going to be stuck not flying. ]

He only knew about the random ship upgrades because of the fact that the ship apparently didn't have a medical bay until he had arrived. It did now]

I mean, we're at a disadvantage because this isn't my ship... But yeah, don't you worry.

So tell me about your ship. Is it like the ones here, at least that you have seen?

She's a freighter. Fastest ship in the galaxy. [ Which, technically, might mean absolutely nothing in this galaxy, but on the other hand who's gonna disprove him here? He shrugs a shoulder easily, slipping into a customary sort of comfortable bragging. ] I'm not sure how they measure things here. It's got about a class point-five hyperdrive.

[ Secretly, he hopes people will be impressed on hearing that, but who knows? ]

Usually it's just me and my copilot, though we could fit a couple more. I guess I can't really compare til I see what this thing can do.

A freighter? In a lot of societies, freighter ships aren't very fast though the Galra tend to use the same ship for supply transport as combat. I will assume though that class point-five hyperdrive is good.

Hopefully you won't have the need to try out everything this ship can do, but its good to know your willing to try if the need arises.

She's not exactly a standard model.

[ It's so much harder to brag about how great your ship is when no one shares your frame of reference! Woe. He's not even touching on weapons systems. That's the kind of card it's better to play close, he thinks, and theoretically if they're shipmates they're on the same side, right?

(Han is only ever on his own side, though. But he's trying to play along.) ]

These ships are quite small. There is more on the Iskaulit including bars, exercise facilities and the library.

[Fortunately he's used to ships on the smaller side-- the Falcon would be crowded with a full complement-- so he nods. ]

Is that the one I was on, uh. Before?

[Because he was definitely somewhere else for a few minutes. He hasn't yet worked out how he got from there to here, though he's not dwelling on it since being spirited away from home is a more pressing issue. ]

That was the Marsiva. The Iskaulit is another ship. You can come and go as you like from the Iskaulit. Once you leave the Marsiva, there doesn't seem to be a way to get back on. Its also the largest ship in the fleet, the one we are all following.

Right... So why don't we just... not follow it?

As far as I know, ships without a pilot cannot stray from following the Marsiva. As for ships with a pilot, I have not asked what prevents us from leaving the Marsiva.

Well I guess we'll have to find out.

[ Like hell is he going to take all this laying down. If there's a way out Han is going to find it. ]
