It's Wintersend! (Or roughly around the equivalent of when it would be back in Thedas. [Actually it's a bit late but whatever CLOSE ENOUGH]) Time to party! Riona found a small party hall to rent on Duotera, in an area that's a bit more reminiscent of early spring.

There are decorations everywhere. Don't worry guys, this isn't meant to be formal. This is just what happens when Riona gets to decorate unsupervised.

There are, of course, plenty of food and drinks. The food is mostly finger snacks, but there are also sandwiches and the like. As for the drinks: yes, they are mostly alcoholic, she knows how you folks roll.

As Wintersend is theater season, Riona compromises for the lack of actual theater with a rigged projector playing movies on the far wall. With a variety of genres running, there'll hopefully be something for everyone, and serves as a place for the more introverted to get away from the party for a bit.

And because it's Wintersend, that means presents. There's a separate table off to the side away from the food where people can place their presents for each other.

The goal is to have something for everyone, and to encourage everyone to have fun. Eat, drink, be merry and all that jazz!

Me and Anders, yes. We wanted to give him an... advantage when interacting with mortals. [She grins, guilty as charged.] And, admittedly, it's been entertaining to watch him be baffled as people suddenly are tripping up and swooning over him and he has no idea why.

And being handsome is an advantage? [ She laughs softly. ] He's like a bit of a child. An awkwardly wonderful and handsome child, but...

Certainly over looking like a corpse, yes. People won't stare and or run away in fear. [Hard to learn about the mortal world when said mortals were unsure as to how to approach you.] He certainly has that childlike curiosity and wonder about the world. It's almost innocent-like.

He wasn't that frightening. [ She was used to worse. ] He's learning, though, very fast. It's encouraging to see how much he wants to learn.

Frightening, not so much, but definitely a bit off-putting. He was far worse when he used to be in an actual corpse. Ever smell a rotting corpse? Try walking around with one.

[Not to mention watching pieces of skin and digits fall off of him. Eugh.]

He is. And he's always asking questions and trying to figure out things. Even if they wind up completely baffling him.

I've smelled a few in my time... Mostly because I've killed them.

I'm glad he's being given a chance to learn.
