[And hey look, it's a clock! You know, that walking and talking clock you all know, love, and some tolerate. He sniffs, holding up a piece of paper.]
Greetings, all. I am Cogsworth, for those who do not know me. For those who do, I am alive ... [a roll of the eyes] so to speak, and I am making this announcement so you know I have not been kidnapped or held against my will or have become an ... inanimate object in which will never change and never enjoy the feeling of flesh ever again -
[He cuts himself off.]
Anyways. That is all. Still Captain, still alive, still here.

Re: Video
As you can see, I am a clock. I was not originally a clock, I was a man like you. My friend was also cursed to be a candlestick, but while he was allowed to go home and regain his mortal form?
I am... a clock.
[Deeper sigh.]
... and will likely remain so. I have been sequestered to mourn my humanity and the fact that I will never, ever know the love of a ma - ma - man.
[And now he might be praying under his breath for his immortal soul, go ahead and ignore that.]

[Have a brow lifted right back at you.]
It would have been rude to ask about you being a clock since we have only just met. Though I do fail to see how being a clock would prevent the love of another. However, this is, of course, not my business.
[He bows his head politely.]

[And let us ... take a moment.]
Well, you know, I do not have ... [He waves his little brass arms, with his thumbs, because he has thumbs and that's about it.] Appendages. Beyond that, who would really love a clock?
[Can you sense the dramatic music? There is dramatic music. Possibly a stained glass window.]

[He offers him a smile now.]
If I may, good Captain, if you are actually man first but trapped in the body of a clock then I feel that it will show a true love of who you are if they find they feel affection towards you no matter your appearance. For it would be your heart and not your looks they would adore.

[Solemn clock is admiring solemn clock. He bows, with all due respect and decorum. A pause, and, well.]
All right. Well. Yes. That is a good point.

[Well it seems he's on this man's good side now at least. He can feel accomplished in that.]
I would not give up hope. Though I do not know you due to this being our first meeting, I believe that if you are honest and willing to be open towards others then you may find your treasured romance.
