[Kitty appears on video looking a liiiiiiittle different than the way she usually looks. The augment had some fun adjusting her. She’s not a cat, but she’s certainly got a lot of catlike features which isn’t unheard of for a mutant.

The pupils of her eyes are no longer round, but a slit. Her nails have also changed, growing to a point and hooking slightly to serve more as claws. Her fangs have extended slightly. Her ears now come to more of a point and are soft and fuzzy like the rest of her body. There’s a short layer of fur everywhere now, similar in color to her usual skin tone, but with gray tabby-like striped markings appearing over certain parts of her body like her face, legs, arms, and tail. Oh, yeah, there’s a tail too. Of course there is.]

Okay. Just get all the puns and jokes out of your systems right now.

[You might spot the direwolf pup, Seeker run by with Kitty following him.] Come on, it’s still me.

[Or maybe you just run into her in the kitchen, bridge, lounge, engine room, or shuttle bay. There are only so many places to be on the ship after all and she gets cagey being all locked up during the drifting weeks when she’s at her best. Right now she’s even more restless than usual. And you know how she’ll often sit on a table or counter instead of a chair? Well, she’s still doing that, but sometimes she’s taking it even more extreme being up on the top of book shelves and various equipment.

You could also find her in her room if you’re looking for a more private moment.]

[ Iskaulit ]
[As awkward as she feels in this body, she’s not going to stop living her life because of it. That means time spent training in the gym where she very awkwardly isn’t sure what to deal with her tail. You might get to see her step on it again. It also means she’ll drop by the library to replenish her book supply and Jarvis’ for some food. A girl’s gotta eat!]

Mmm...without the context of other changes I've been through I'd say ten. With the context more like a five? Weird but totally manageable?

I guess it's probably nice to be in your own body, even if that body is changed cosmetically.

...I'm assuming it's just changed cosmetically. I mean, the eye thing must be a little weird to get used to.

It's mostly cosmetic. No new powers or anything though the eyes are processing things a little differently. And the cosmetic changes are...kind of huge. I'm not sure how I'd feel about wearing a full fur body suit all...day, days, week, weeks. [She hopes this one is short.]

That's...fair. [She's definitely right, it's a full-body change.] "Your own body" might be stretching the definition a little.

Hopefully it won't be weeks.

It feels more mine than some of the times these kinds of things have happened. Altered, but mostly mine. We have to stretch a lot of definitions here.

Thanks. Hopefully hopes count. [She smiles at him.] I'll figure it out if I do though. [Just as long as it's not permanent. Not that she wouldn't figure that out too, but it's one thing to temporarily violate her this way. To forever change her this deeply is too much. It's another red line. As if they haven't already crossed several.]

Basically the definition of a mutant, so the odds are in my favor, right? [She feels like she's been growing less and less adaptable by the moment, wanting more out of life and the world around her. Things like even fleeting consistency and permanence of her own body that she definitely has no reason to expect with the life she's lived.]

[The fact that Kitty is a mutant is something that, honestly, Felix tucks away in a separate box from how he thinks about the rest of her. He knows that's absolutely not how she'd like to be thought of, but hey, she can't read minds. (If her mutation did allow her to do that, Felix thinks she probably wouldn't like him very much.)

When she draws attention to the fact again, pulls it out into the light, he doesn't...act badly to be fair. Doesn't sneer or anything. He just...pauses for a few seconds, and then makes a noncommittal sort of hum before he responds properly.]

When you put it like that, yeah. You've got a pretty good point.

[His voice is very even!]

[He does a good job. If she notices any weirdness she doesn't actually relate it back to the real cause of the discomfort.]

That's because I'm full of good points. Stick with me, kid. [She says to the obviously older guy.] Anyway, I should probably go off and figure all this cat stuff out. See you around?

['Kid' gets a small quirk of his lips that's basically a smile, and he nods.]
