[Kitty appears on video looking a liiiiiiittle different than the way she usually looks. The augment had some fun adjusting her. She’s not a cat, but she’s certainly got a lot of catlike features which isn’t unheard of for a mutant.

The pupils of her eyes are no longer round, but a slit. Her nails have also changed, growing to a point and hooking slightly to serve more as claws. Her fangs have extended slightly. Her ears now come to more of a point and are soft and fuzzy like the rest of her body. There’s a short layer of fur everywhere now, similar in color to her usual skin tone, but with gray tabby-like striped markings appearing over certain parts of her body like her face, legs, arms, and tail. Oh, yeah, there’s a tail too. Of course there is.]

Okay. Just get all the puns and jokes out of your systems right now.

[You might spot the direwolf pup, Seeker run by with Kitty following him.] Come on, it’s still me.

[Or maybe you just run into her in the kitchen, bridge, lounge, engine room, or shuttle bay. There are only so many places to be on the ship after all and she gets cagey being all locked up during the drifting weeks when she’s at her best. Right now she’s even more restless than usual. And you know how she’ll often sit on a table or counter instead of a chair? Well, she’s still doing that, but sometimes she’s taking it even more extreme being up on the top of book shelves and various equipment.

You could also find her in her room if you’re looking for a more private moment.]

[ Iskaulit ]
[As awkward as she feels in this body, she’s not going to stop living her life because of it. That means time spent training in the gym where she very awkwardly isn’t sure what to deal with her tail. You might get to see her step on it again. It also means she’ll drop by the library to replenish her book supply and Jarvis’ for some food. A girl’s gotta eat!]

Oh, Kitty-cat...you look absolutely purrrfect. I've been waiting all my life for a mewment like this. But I get the feeling your cat-ittude about the whole thing is a little less than paw-sitive. Purhaps you only need some purrsuasion. I bet you're very cathletic like this.

Oh, something hurts, but I don't think it's the transformation. [She's determined not to laugh, but there's a smirk on her lips with two little fang points sneaking out.]

[Good grief, woman. You're the splitting image of a pooka, tbh. Though they actually tend to have *less* fur.]

[She would love to be a "less fur" version. Preferably her normal self.]

No, no, just a glitch I'm pretty sure. I don't think I pissed off any witches lately. I guess it could be a secondary mutation, but I doubt it.

Don't tempt me. [She's curious, though whether Kitty falls under her affinity for cats now. It's a thing. Cat pooka tend to get along very well with cats of all sizes.] I suppose it could be worse. You could be a dog, instead.

I probably smell better this way, but what's wrong with dogs? [The name aside she's really more of a ~~dragon dog person.]~~

Far too loyal for their own good. Easily betrayed. I'd much rather be a clever cat.

Oh, well, if it's to be one and not to have one as a pet then definitely. [But she might be a dog person in that sense too. She did get killed by trusting her husband not to trample her to death and thereby didn't phase.]

Being betrayed is kind of the worst.

[AoA Colossus was the worst.]

Isn't it? You can't be betrayed if you didn't trust them to begin with. [And having your trust broken feels so terrible. If you even survive the experience. She got her soulmate killed by trusting the wrong person. It sucks.]

[Good thing that's the one she married! /sob]

True enough. But it's not much of a life if you go through it never trusting anyone. [At least that's what she tells herself when she finds herself falling in trust over and over when she's had so many examples of why she shouldn't.

Also very true! You just need to make sure nobody can ever betray you more than once. I'm much more of a cat person in that regard, really.

That's a good standard. I wish I could say I've always lived by it. [Piotr got their students killed before it was her. And then there was her relationship with Tyki. Well, she never exactly trusted him, but she got too close anyway.]

No shame if you haven't. Some people are just far too nice for their own good, but they balance out their opposites.

[Whereas Katie goes to extremes. Betray her once, she'll hunt you down and destroy your life.]

How long do you think you'll be a cat for? I've no idea how glitches run usually.

I'm trying to remember the last time someone said I was too nice. [She smiles.]

I was in a guy's body for five days the other time I glitched. I think it's anywhere from a day to a couple of weeks? I guess we'll see.

At least I have someone to check with for fur care.

[Natasha probably should have kept that to herself, but she can't help but check in. And how else can she start?]

Well, that's definitely one of the more extreme makeovers I've ever seen.

On the bright side, bet this whole thing'd make for one heck of a tail.

[She might have asked for it- literally- but he's still going to keep his response private. And only partly because he's pretty sure someone already beat him to the best material. And also taking it a bit slow, just to feel out where the line is- if there even is one.]

Think you'll at least get a sweet pair of boots out of it?

I'm just glad they didn't touch the nose. Well, except for the fur. There's just a lot of fur. [But otherwise it's her normal human nose.]

Ha. Ha. Ha. [But she doesn't sound annoyed even if she's giving him the "you're not funny laugh."]

I think I'm going to get a lot of having to rip my pants out of it to make tail holes. And I'm fresh out of tailors to fix them later.

Why do I feel like this is something my boyfriend would want to see on me?

[Kitty wasn't the only one that got cat jokes. Keith's just tended to be among his own teammates.]

I'd think your boyfriend was Anders if I didn't know better.
