[Hello, ladies. And gentlemen. And anyone in between, and anyone not any of the above. The video screen is currently showing a dripping wet, shirtless Lance. However, the baffled look on his face is enough to show that this isn't some kind of accidental broadcast of a racy video meant to be sent to one person.]

Okay, so, uh... I think I'm kind of in a pickle right now. Glitches happen here, right? I mean, obviously they do. I've never had them happen to me before, though. Buuuuuuut... So here I am, right as rain, having a totally normal day. Routine. Average. Nothing out of the ordinary. But then! Then I step into the shower--

[And he gestures around himself. He's obviously in one of the standard fleet shower stalls.]

Turn on the water, and, er... Fall. But I didn't trip, not exactly. Tripping implies you have legs to trip on.

[He tilts the camera lower on his body. Don't worry, he might be technically naked, but he's not flashing anyone. Instead of his usual long legs, he has a tail now, much like a fish's. It's a rich blue color, just as his armor is. Said tail gives a sad flop against the wet shower floor. He brings the camera back to his face. And in fact, if you look carefully, there's something much like gills on the sides of his neck.]

[Once he's actually not stuck in a shower stall, Lance is much happier. Especially now that he has the entire length of the Iskaulit pool to move freely in. It's taken him a little time to get used to how to swim with his new tail and breathe properly underwater, but now that he's gotten the hang of it, Lance is nothing short of exhilarated. After all, it's always been one of his dreams to be a merman. And now, he is! He'll think about all the logistics a little later, but this is something he's definitely going to take advantage of as long as this glitch lasts.

[Woohoo, he gets to carry Keith around! Lance has realized his tail is decently powerful, so he's able to keep them both afloat pretty easily. It's a little awkward going at first as he tries to figure out how to move it to propel them at the right angle, but soon, he's swimming them both about.]

[Keith laughed a bit. It was an odd sensation, really, but he hung on and let Lance do his thing for a bit.]

You're really enjoying this, huh?

Am I! You know me and water... When I was little, I told everyone I wanted to grow up to be a mermaid. And now, bam, I get to be one for a little while! Er. Well. Merman.

[He laughs, spinning them around.]

[Keith chuckled a bit.]

And think... you won't get all pruny by spending too much time in here.

Seriously. That's the worst part about being in water too long. I hate looking all wrinkly.

[He scrunches up his nose a little at that.]

[Keith chuckled a little bit, still holding on to Lance.]

We should probably figure this out, though... like, you know... if you're like this all the time, or if you get legs back or what.

[The main reason Keith was concerned about it was because Lance had mentioned changing while he was in the shower, which was odd. Usually it was a thing when they woke up. Plus... he really didn't want to have to come to the pool to visit his boyfriend for a week.]

Yeah... I guess I'll try drying out in a bit and seeing if that does anything. I don't want to have to end up sleeping in the pool. That'd just...feel weird.

[Plus he'd be lonely.]

[Keith nodded a little.]

Don't get me wrong. I can tell you're really excited about this, and I'm happy about that for you. But, I kind of hope this goes quick.

[He rested his forehead against Lance's.]

I don't want to have to come visit you in the pool like it's an aquarium or something.

You know I'd be the star of the aquarium.

[He can't help but tease, but reaches up to brush some wet hair out of Keith's face.]

Can't think of sleeping without me anymore, huh?

[Keith shrugged a little, almost a little embarrassed by Lance calling it in one... but he leaned in, hugging Lance against himself.]

Something like that, I guess... [It was more than that, honestly, but Keith wasn't quite sure how to put that in words, yet.]

You don't have to be shy about admitting it, you know. I mean...um, it honestly...makes me really happy to hear it.

[He gives a sheepish smile.]

[Keith gave Lance a shy smile.]

Yeah?

[He kissed him lightly.]

Well... it's nice having you around. And I'll miss you.

Awwww, don't say that like I'm going away. At worst, it'll just be on some nights, and whenever you get bored of sticking around the pool. I'm still gonna try sleeping in our bed tonight, even if my scales get dry.

[He's stubborn, okay. And if he doesn't get his legs back when drying out, you'll just have to deal with a bigass fish tail in your bed, Keithy.]

[Well, he was hoping that Lance would get his legs back... that was for sure. He nodded a little.]

If it gets too uncomfortable, though, and you just stay like this, let me know, okay? We'll figure something out.

[He wasn't sure how long Lance was going to be glitched like this for, so he didn't want him to be uncomfortable for it.]

Yeah. We always do, don't we?

[He gives another little peck to his lips, because he can.]

Yeah. [He kissed him back.] I guess we do.

Well, now you can hang out with Oliver a lot.

[He smiled a bit.]

Huh, I can. He's gonna be massively hype to be able to spend all day in the pool, I'm sure!

[He laughs. God, he loves his pet.]

[Keith chuckled a little.]

I can bring him by later if you want.

[And, well... honestly... as much as it would be nice to just swim around in the pool all day with Lance, Keith wasn't a merman, so it probably wasn't a good idea of him to do it.]

Thanks, cutie. You're so sweet to me.

[He smiles.]

Even if you just kind of lay around at the poolside and read a book... Or do some exercises here... I dunno, just having you around, even if you're not in the pool itself...

I'll figure something out. Don't worry.

[Keith kissed him lightly.]

I want to spend time with you.

Seriouslyyyyy... You're gonna make me melt into the pool, Keith.

[He laughs.]

I really am the luckiest.

[Keith chuckled a little.]

Don't melt into the pool... I don't want to have to try and separate you from the rest of the water.

I can't help iiiiiiiit.

[He whines, wrapping his tail around Keith's legs to draw him even closer. If that's even possible at this point. Sorry for the smush, Keithers.]

[Keith clung tighter to Lance anyway as he no longer had a way to keep himself afloat.]

Don't drown me!

[He was teasing, though. He kissed Lance's cheek, then rested his head so the sides of their faces were touching. He noticed the gills, though. That was going to make neck kisses awkward. He didn't want to choke his boyfriend. Hopefully, this wouldn't last too long. He liked pressing his face into that spot, after all.]

Pfff, you know I wouldn't hurt a hair on your pretty mulleted head.

[Yeah, sorry, Keith. He's always gonna call it that. No matter what. Lance just smiles, letting his hands rest on Keith's back.]

You're so much cuddlier than I thought you'd be before we started dating. It's awesome.
