[It's largely boredom that leads Felix to this decision. Either in the Mirador or Paradisa, he'd been fond of finding any reason whatsoever to get a few people together for food and drinks. The company generally meant more than the setting, though of course it was far easier to arrange things at a snap of his fingers than it was here. Still, he manages it within a few days of the fleet's time adrift.

That morning, he addresses the network.]

Hello again, dear fleet. Felix Harrowgate of the Goldstone here, if we haven't yet met. I've put together a little soirée this evening, at Málum. Consider it an appreciation of our time of peace and quiet...or the beginnings of spring. Whichever sounds best to you. It isn't much, admittedly, but there is food and drinks and hopefully people. May as well enjoy things before something else explodes, hm?

Oh, and semi-formal attire would be appreciated, not that I intend on turning anyone out at the door. I'm sure many of us have a little something in our closet that doesn't much get to see the light of day. [Well, not so much in his case, of course, but the point stands]

[That night Málum is - not transformed, exactly, but - altered. The stark furniture softened with simple white tablecloths, with centerpieces cobbled together from wine glasses, candles, and flowers from the garden. The neon, for the night, has been switched off. Even the galaxy of lights on the dancefloor have been changed to project the shape of flowers.

The food laid out is fairly basic but fitting the bar's wheelhouse - meats cooked inside puff pastry, thin stacks of sauteed vegetables, and mini quiches to name of few. The finale sits in the form of the lemon cake (commissioned, likely, from the Melting Pot). Some of the flavor is even real lemon!

Drinks are free within reason and music plays softly in the background, for anyone that feels like dancing. Felix would have preferred more classical selections, but all of this is a case of working with what you have.]

( Sansa is still rather cross with Tyrion after he'd embarrassed her in front of the Fleet and, as such, she's kept herself scarce. She's spent much of her time in her quarters with Lady and Jonquil but when the announcement had come from Felix about the party and she'd seen the lemon cake, she'd decided that was worth venturing out for. Unfortunately, though, she's in no mood for a party. )

( The cake is sitting unattended on a table where the other food is set up and Sansa cuts an overly large wedge from it, bigger than what a lady like her would normally take. She carefully lifts it and places it on a plate before lifting the plate the cake proper is on, intending to head straight back to the Huntress with it. She has absolutely no intentions of sharing her lemon cake unless she gets caught and this is highly improper and out of character but she's still sore about Tyrion and she really wants the cake. Besides - it's not like playing by the rules has ever benefitted her. She manages to get the cake back to her quarters and then cuts herself a much more acceptable slice of it, pleased she's got the rest of it to eat later on. )

[Sokka catches Sansa's Great Cake Heist out of the corner of his eye and decides to help matters. He knows Sansa's got a...special love for lemon cake, and if she feels she needs basically the whole damn cake, then he's going to stand behind her on that one.

Just in case anyone decides to glance that way, he swiftly knocks a plate of (not meat) snacks onto the floor with a loud clatter. ]

OH WHOOPSIE! I'M JUST A BUTTERFINGERS, MY BAD, MY BAD. HEY HAS ANYONE GOT A CLOTH?

( It's hard not to notice Sokka's well-timed distraction and once Sansa's out of sight with the cake and on her way back to the Huntress, she sends him a quick message. )

And don't worry about it, enjoy your spoils, I got all he meat pastries, so I'm good :)

Aww, nah. I don't need to be rewarded for letting someone enjoy an excessive amount of cake.

You're a true friend, Sokka. Have I ever told you that before?

I haven't had friends in a really long time. It's nice to know that I do now.

Well, you'll always gave friends here. Especially me, I'm dogged like that.

Are you certain there's nothing I could do to put you off, Sokka?

Well, I mean one of my best friends is a guy who actively hunted and attacked us for the better part of a year. I'm pretty forgiving.

Truly? How did you end up becoming friends with someone who was your enemy for so long?

He realised he was on the wrong side of the war, and came to join us. It took...a lot of convincing, but he helped me rescue my dad and Suki from a Fire Tribe prison- that's what made me decide we could trust him.

[If ever there is someone to not want a proper young lady to be caught enjoying a cake, it is this man here. So when Sandalio catches her doing it, and he does because it is his nature, he casually slips in closer to her and bows his head as he offers her his handkerchief.]

Forgive me, good miss. I had noticed a small smudge.

[He offers her the handkerchief and looks to the cake then back to her with a wink. A sign that he's here to give her a way to hide her prize.]

For you. So you might take care of it. You may keep it, of course. I would not wish to deny so beautiful a young lady the chance to look so flawless. Though, I imagine that it is much like polishing a beautiful gem.

[He takes a bow then.]

I hope to meet you again another time.

( Sansa flashes him a quick smile, relieved that someone seems to be on her side in helping her to abscond with this cake. It is a strange thing to do but, all the same, oddly liberating. )

[You should have seen the wife of his former Alpha, Sansa. Your desire to be subtle about this is actually more normal in his eyes. So of course he flashes her a winning smile.]

I would never ask a lady to be in my debt. Think nothing of it. It is rather the duty of a gentleman to see to it that a beautiful lady is well cared for in my opinion.

( Sansa blushes just a tiny bit at the compliment, taken aback. She really needs to get going but she cannot let that go without a thank you. )

[What a lovely blush. He truly hopes there are those out there who can full appreciate her. Not only does she appear to have a lovely personality with wonderful manners but she is a beautiful young woman.

Of course, he has no intention of flustering her further. So he simply settles for tipping his head to her and stepping out of her way so she can get by.]

( Sansa understands the need for exchanging names, even if she is in a bit of a hurry, and has no issue with stopping for that exchange. Pleasantries are still required. )
