Note: Shiro took Lance and Keith (the three of them being pilots) to check on the rest of the planet and try to find civilization. If you also play a pilot, feel free to assume Shiro recruited them too! Mods said there is only nature and more nature, no other cities, so I didn't see the point of threading that out and we handwaved it. The city is where shit is going down. If an engineer wants to follow his tracker idea you can see the results here. Also feel free to use this post to threadjack if you character wants to discuss information with another!

I'm sure I'm not the only one finding this place too good to be true, am I?

Some other pilots and I took the pods and tried to find other signs of civilization outside the main city, but the rest of the planet is just wilderness. After everything we've learned about terraforming projects and Atroma, I think it'd be wise to get as much information as possible from this planet too. It looks empty, but the library is large, especially the science section, which talks about inspiration for future convenient settlements in different points of the galaxy. There's a news building too - I haven't looked deeply into it but a quick look showed me files just abruptly stop after certain date. It's a lot to go through, so we should synchronize our work: each person could go for a different section to cover more information in the least amount of time. Teamwork can always go a long way.

Has any engineer tried to track the droids? Has the planet talked to any person with the ability to listen? Abandoned cities aren't a new concept but the lack of any signs of life is incredibly eerie.

[Okay, he is actually reading the book... skimming more correctly. If he weren't, the fact that he turned the page might be a little odd. That page didn't appear to have anything useful. But he would probably make a note of the general gist of what he'd read when either when he hit a point to stop or after whatever was going to happen here.

Sorry Shiro, but if you are going to preach that to your team... you're definitely going to have to deal with the same thing from Ulaz]

Food would be better before you make yourself sick. Besides, you would think more clearly about what you are reading.

[Look, Ulaz is the Professional Ninja Spy (TM). Shiro wouldn't be surprised if he was just turning pages to keep up appearances! A sigh. Why does nobody let him overwork? ...don't answer that.]

[Well, he's still not going to tell Shiro if he is actually reading the book or not. No asking if he should be allowed to overwork. He is not allowed. The answer should be obvious]

Then you shouldn't have an problem humoring me and eating real food.

[Shiro raises an eyebrow. Humoring him, is it? It really feels like Ulaz is his personal doctor now. Funny how they've come this (well, funny to Shiro anyway).]

I will eat real food, Ulaz, after I'm done here.

[Personal doctor... he could probably say that. A very tall and very strong personal doctor who really had no qualms about making sure people listened to him, especially this particular charge.

Also he may not find this funny]

I think you are done for now.

[And it was almost like one fluid movement as Ulaz put down the book and took another couple of steps towards Shiro effectively closing the distance. With that done, Shiro would see the world moving around him... as Ulaz rather deftly picked him up and put Shiro over his shoulder.

[He has an answer ready for that comment (he's actually not done, excuse him!) but then Ulaz moves and Shiro doesn't have time to react. He's usually the big one, nobody ever grabs him like that unless it's in a fight and trying to knock him off.

In fact, being taken by surprise like this, he tenses and raises his metal arm, but Ulaz is fast and Shiro immediately finds himself staring... at Ulaz's ass. Well then.]

What-- [Wait, talking like this is pretty awkward. Face red, he raises his upper body a bit, trying to look (glare) over his shoulder.] What do you think you're doing? Put me down, Ulaz! I'm not a child!

[Keith stared at the two of them as Ulaz unceremoniously carried Shiro out of the library.

WELL THEN.]

[Huh. That... That was definitely a thing that happened. There's a long pause before Lance bursts into laughter, pulling out his communicator and snapping a quick picture. He's so printing this out later.]

That's one way to do it! Go Ulaz!

[Yes, Ulaz could have assumed the answer to that was going to be he wasn't done so Ulaz had taken matters into his own hands. He was done for the moment. He also didn't really expect Shiro to appreciate this, but hey, sometimes the outcome justified the method of doing it.

Besides, Shiro wasn't in the position to be harmed... well, his pride might be wounded. Especially since Lance was rather excited about this]

And you would accept your teammates doing the same thing you were doing? Seems very childish to me.

Lance! [He glares at the boy as he scolds him.] Delete that! And don't encourage him!

[Wounded? He's outright embarrassed, especially now his teammates have seen him like... this. Quiznak, this can't be happening.]

I would never pick up my teammates like this! [Not what Ulaz asked, Shiro. His legs start kicking - not so badly to hurt, but still.] Put me down right now, Ulaz! That's an order!

You wouldn't, huh?

[Keith remembered Shiro tossing injured Lance over his shoulder exactly like that when Sendak bombed the Castle of Lions shortly after they all started working with Voltron.

He leaned back in his chair and crossed his arms, making no move to stop Ulaz from doing exactly what he was doing.]

[Hell no, he's not deleting that. He raises an eyebrow at that comment, though.]

Okay, I was passed out, but from what I heard after, I am pretty sure you slung me over your shoulder when I got caught in that explosion. I mean, dude, seriously, common first-aid much? I could've had broken ribs or something!

[He doesn't actually sound annoyed, his tone nothing but teasing.]

[Ulaz did hear that comment from Lance and sighed]

Really, Shiro?

[No the kicking didn't hurt and he could deal with it, but he also wasn't unreasonable]

Do you agree to take a break and come get something real to eat? The books aren't going anywhere.

[Yes, Shiro should agree. Ulaz will be more likely to put him down that way...]

[He glares at both of his teammates.]

Carrying an injured person isn't what I meant and you know it!

[And now he glares at Ulaz too. What did he do to deserve this? ...don't answer that.]

How about you put me down because it's the right thing to do? Keith has been here all day too, I don't see you bothering him!

Hey... I'm not the one that passed out not that long ago. You need to take care of yourself.

[Though, Keith had definitely been pushing himself, too. All day? He'd been investigating the whole place since shortly after they arrived... like, once they knew the place was abandoned. It wasn't quite as bad as he'd been with the weird premonition nightmares, but he was close.]

Ulaz isn't bothering him because I'm going to bother him.

[He turns to Keith, crossing his arms, putting his best judgmental boyfriend face on.]

You need rest too. And a good meal. A good night's sleep and some professional snuggles. We can come back tomorrow.

[Well thanks for letting him know that Keith has been doing the same thing, Shiro. Ulaz certainly wasn't going to allow one to get away with it when another wasn't]

Well then Keith does need to take a break as well. Just like you do.

Also the right thing to do is to make sure you take care of yours.

[Come on, Shiro. Agree to get dinner and he'll put you down]

[Sigh. Well, so much for that plan. THANKS EVERYONE FOR THE SUPPORT, REALLY. And then they wonder why he disappears.]

Put me down now, Ulaz. [He squirms again.] If I try harder to get off, I'll hurt you, and I don't want that.

[Keith frowned at Ulaz and Lance.]

I'm fine. Like, seriously.

No, you're not. You're coming back to the ship with me. I'll carry you if I have to.

[He crosses his arms. And look, Shiro, Lance is behaving so much he didn't make some kind of pervy joke about your choice of words!]
