[intro] | What's this?
[Action - Marsiva]
[This isn't the first time that Morgan's woken up somewhere strange without any memory of how he got there, but it doesn't make it any less distressing.]
[Think, Morgan, think! What would Mother do in a situation like this? First would probably be taking inventory. He had his memories of his friends and family, so at least that wasn't a total loss. And then, he can't tell whether or not this is enemy territory, so...proceed with caution?]
[Anybody who is on the Marsiva at the same time as Morgan will see what is clearly a lost child, if they want to lend him a hand.]
[Action - S.S. Caprine]
Whoa!
[And then, he's whisked away somewhere else, only this time with confetti! This is only slightly less disorienting than before, and Morgan still has his guard up.]
[Which isn't to say he's not going to explore the ship, because he absolutely is. From the kitchen, to the engine room, to the private quarters, he's doing his best to familiarize himself with this ship. Even if he's not letting his guard down, there's another part of him that can't deny how cool this is.]
[S.S. Caprine, meet your new engineer, he's basically a kid in a candy store.]
[Broadcast]
Hello? Hello? Can anyone hear me?
[After hearing about the network, he can't stop himself from trying it out. It sounded pretty far-fetched, but considering he's already in space, he shouldn't be surprised when his broadcast actually goes through.]
This works? Awesome!
[Anybody tuning in will see a smiling, blue-haired boy waving from the other end.]
Hello everyone, my name is Morgan, and I'm new here! I thought it'd be a good idea to introduce myself.
I don't know much about space, but this place seems pretty cool! All of this technology is way more advanced than what we have back home. [Not that he's taking notes.]
I've still got a ton of questions about this place, too, but I'm probably not the only one. I'm looking forward to meeting everyone here!

[Voice]
Of course you have questions. We all have questions. It doesn't mean you're getting answers.
[Voice]
[Oh well! This isn't the worse situation he's been in. He's surprisingly fine with this.]
That's why we have to explore, right? If there's enough of us that look, we're bound to find something.
no subject
She rolls her eyes at his exuberance. Another one.]
You assume that the rest of us haven't been looking for the answers. And that we haven't been doing that since the first one of us was kidnapped over two years ago, if going back on these devices is any indication.
no subject
Well, yeah, of course people here have been looking into it. But every problem benefits from a fresh pair of eyes.
no subject
Sure, and we get new pairs of eyes all the time. You're just the latest in a long line.

[She normally gets that with Sorey, but he can be mopey sometimes as well.]
If you want a challenge, find a way to make these devices have spiritual resonance.

action;
I hope you didn't forget your pudding.
action
[Hey, look! It's another person. And they don't seem particularly threatening, that's cool.]
Please tell me there's more to eat here than that pudding from earlier.
no subject
There's more to eat than just pudding. Guess you haven't found the kitchen yet?
no subject
I haven't! I just appeared on this ship...about twenty minutes ago? My name's Morgan.
no subject
Ah. Welcome to the Caprine, then. I'm Baku. [a pause, and her usual neutral face scrunches up just a little] The captain.
no subject
I'm in...engineering, I think? Although I don't have any experience with spaceships, or ships at all, so I'm not really sure what that means.

Action
But as he was walking through the hall to find Baku, he happened upon the new person who was exploring the ship. Sorry if you are looking for someone non-threatening. He's a very tall and clearly of an alien species]
Hello.
no subject
[On the one hand, Ulaz looks kind of terrifying. But on the other, he looks too lifelike to be a Risen. So friendly? Maybe?]
Hello. You aren't uh, you aren't going to eat me, are you?
[But it never hurts to check.]
no subject
So he wasn't entirely surprised by the question, but it was a first]
That's not something I was planning on. My name is Ulaz. I'm the ship's medic.
[So completely the opposite]
no subject
Oh, sorry about that. I'm new here.
[That's not an excuse!]
It's nice to meet you, Ulaz. My name's Morgan.
no subject
[No offense taken]
It's nice to meet you as well. I take it you are new to this ship?
no subject
[He takes another good look at Ulaz. Ulaz is definitely alive, if nothing else.]
If it's okay to ask, what are you?

[Action - Kitchen!]
OH. HELLO. DID YOU JUST ARRIVE? I HEARD THE MUSIC.
no subject
[Needless to say, he is very surprised.]
Whoa! You can talk?
no subject
[He turns the spoon in the pot slowly, pulling it out with a sample of the soup.]
MY NAME IS DEATH. THIS IS MEANT TO BE MY ROLE ON THE CAPRINE.
no subject
[Not that Morgan ever imagined death having a physical form, but if he did, he's not sure this is what he would picture.]
And if you're Death, why are you also the ship's cook?
I meant to type "anthropomorphic" omg! Death has such a long technical description. orz
[Death is an old fashioned image of the concept, but he can understand the confusion with how many gods of death there are.]
THAT IS WHAT THIS FIDDLY THING- [He points to his head.] SEES FIT TO TELL ME. IN TRUTH, I HAVEN'T COOKED IN QUITE A WHILE, BUT I HAVE NOT FORGOTTEN HOW.
THAT IS OKAY I DIDN'T EVEN NOTICE
[If he was the death, that was still a little odd. But to each their own?]
That's interesting. I thought these things were made to work with humans, but it looks like they can also affect skeletons, too. I wonder how they work.
