[Mikleo crosses his arms and glowers up at him, watching him scale the side with (cautious) skepticism.]

...no, [Sorey admits, twirling the hook and tossing it up onto the latticework for the first loop, tugging on it to test its strength. To be honest this is half an excuse to climb this cool thing] But I can at least get the ice down.

Mikleo wanders over to just under where Sorey is climbing, takes a few steps off to the side, and sits down on the ground with a book. he'll just wait here for the inevitable, silently judging.

[Now he absolutely has to do this on his own because Mikleo is down there!!! Being!!! SMUG!!!!

He manages to get the icing off the rails, manages to clear up most of the frost but those darn ice spikes are something else. He can't just grab onto them and make fire because then his fingers go numb, but he can't wiggle any of them loose either.]

Considering how far we've come, a simple arte like that barely takes any effort at all.

[Uh like a good half of his buffing up has been a result of y'all buffing up, and then another half of that is because he apparently had to collect spirit friends like Pokemon. Cut out his pacts and he's just a human with good eyes again, buddy.]

You're definitely stronger, Mikleo. I remember when you used to struggle just to make a cup of water appear... [URG, finally, got the darn thing loose. Sorey wiggles the icicle free and tosses it down into the bushes to melt there.]

[There's a flash of crystalline light, and another shard forms within a cluster where Sorey isn't looking.]

Oh whatever. The only reason it was for emergencies anyway is because you wanted the practice. [Wiggles that last icicle away and starts to climb over to another cluster to melt it down.]
