Where There's Water...
Who: Nami and you!
Broadcast: Yep
Action: Nariba Relia / Iskaulit
When: March 18th
A - Shopping!
[Yes, the place is disturbing. But she doesn't think the food is poisonous, and there's just too much variety here to pass up. Find Nami weaving her way in and out of the fresh produce shops, stuffing her backpack and a couple of baskets full of fresh fruit and vegetables to back up to the Bloodsport. Following in her wake is Biri, also known as a giant peacock duck hybrid chocobo wannabe, and she has no qualms about loading him up with her bags. She also raids the gardening stores when she finally comes across them of any seeds that look viable.]
B - Wavering!
[To make up for using Biri as a pack mule, she finds the nearest lake. It's probably a fair distance out of town, but other explorers might come upon the sight of a girl in a bikini flying across the water on what honestly looks to be a jetski made out of a rowboat. It's going at least as fast as one, anyway. Biri's out here, stretching his wings, a yellow blur of a bird keeping up as they tear around the lake. It's all in the name of freedom and having fun and not thinking about things.
...is that bird giving off sparks?]
[You could be forgiven for thinking Nami isn't taking this place seriously and instead treating it like a vacation spot. Well, yes and no. She has her reasons.]
So what do you think the chances are that this place was constructed as a beginning to colonize this planet, but then the people evacuated? Something went wrong, or some disaster happened, or whoever was in charge of the money decided it just wasn't viable.
I think the food is okay. I'm going to take advantage and get us a lot more variety of fruit and vegetables growing in the gardens. If you're up for a project and aren't too nervous about it, I'd appreciate some help. Just as long as everything we grow doesn't taste like citrus, I guess.
[She hopes. Her favourite fruit is mikan, but that doesn't mean she wants everything to taste like mikan.]
...speaking of which, picked up some liquor for people willing to give it a try. It also tastes a little like oranges, but it'll knock you for a six. Best of both worlds. Catch it at your local Space Bar.
--------
[Apart from the above options, you can also find her plotting out the beginnings of said vegetable garden, or serving at the Space Bar. Or anywhere else you can think of. Wild card me up.]

Reassuring but still creepy. Like if it was the Atroma, I wonder if this was some kind of original test run. Or it was for an earlier season. Or it's going to be for a later season and they're just checking up on the place.

[She half believes it's possible. Mostly she's thinking in terms of conspiracy, or she'd be taking this a lot more seriously.]

[He can't decide which idea he likes less. Like- okay, nobody wants to be filmed all the time. But if it suddenly stopped, it would be even more suspicious, so...]

I don't know. My knowledge of television kind of runs out there.

[...then again, live broadcast executions come to mind.]
Anyway. You wanna try our high strength liquor? It was made originally for a race a lot bigger than humans, so it packs a heavy punch.

[He strives not to become an alcoholic but sometimes. SOMETIMES.]

[AND HE REALLY WILL. Because it's not like he needs to get drunk, it'd just be kinda good to know that he can. Been a while since that weird drinking day with Cloud.]

It's not the same as giant or fishman booze, but it's still pretty good for out here. It's pretty hard on the taste buds, though. You want it straight?
[It's probably fine to people who are seasoned drinkers, but she has no idea where Zack falls on that scale.]
no subject
Hah, sure! Toss me a shot, I'll see how it feels first.

[This is yet another unnamed beverage she picks up and she really ought to start naming them sometime soon-- she pours him two fingers of deep amber-brown, sliding it across the bar to him.] You much of a drinker?
[It's designed for large horse-ish aliens the size of a human and a half, so it's heady stuff.]
no subject
Whew! That's got a nice kick to it. Does Cloud know about this stuff? I think he'd dig it, too.
no subject
[Cloud drinks in Malum, mostly. He's a loser.]
That went down fast. You weren't joking about soldier tolerance, huh?
no subject
Nope, no joke! It's actually pretty hard to get us drunk- the mako heals the effects too quick.

[He points to his eyes, and the telltale glow within.]
Chemical enhancements, the mark of a SOLDIER back home. Boosts stamina, strength, durability... Shinra's favourite way to make a better "you".

We're not immune to getting drunk or anything, but... yeah, it's probably not a great idea. But hey, if you ever wanna try, let's make it a bet!
[Cloud would be happy to win some money, he's sure.]

[Seriously if he took that shot and is completely unfazed...] Another?
