[It's still strange how she completely forgot about this place.  Between her health and Manji's on-edge paranoia and mansplaining she's exhausted, and can be found on her own curled up on a chair by a window, watching the starry dark outside.  The first time she was here it was a little terrifying.  Now, it's just peaceful.

Mostly until she starts coughing, anyway.]

[And then she gets rudely dumped amidst a shower of confetti on the bridge of an unfamiliar ship, quite literally just sitting on the ground and trying to shield her face from all the coloured paper.  Sup, guys.  Here's a pale, thin lady in a kimono and shawl who glances up once it's safe, blinking in some confusion.]

...oh.  I'd... forgotten.

[For all the confusion, though, she couldn't sound any less interested about being here.  It's not personal; that's just Makie for you.  She's eternally done with the world.

For anyone not on the bridge, she will at least explore the ship to reorient herself before she goes and takes a nap.]

[Eventually, once she's recovered somewhat, she makes the trip here.  She's never stepped into this cargo bay with such uncertainty.   Where you guys at?]

That's not necessary. I've noticed that it's a common problem.

[They only just cleaned the bridge not long ago from his own confetti arrival- there's probably still remnants hanging about in the corners.

He does reach up towards the console to call one of his cleaning bots, though. No sense in putting it off.]

[Makie takes that at face value, getting to her feet. There's a faint sliver of memory that makes her look around until she finds the pudding cup that also travelled with her, and she rescues it from the ground before it can tip.]

May I ask which ship I am on? I don't think I recognise this one.

This is the Blameless. My understanding is it's fairly new compared to the rest of the fleet.

[Might be why? He has no idea. He's getting up now, though, dusting off his pants; he doesn't like being off his feet around strangers.]

[Makie only visited like three ships lbr.]

Oh... that's right. It just appeared one day. [Thoughtfully. Her memory is still filling in little bits.

My name is Otono-Tachibana Makie. [Because formality.] Are you the captain, sir?

[If he were a more humorous sort, he'd laugh at that; as it is he gives a strained exhale through his nose. Not annoyed, per se, just... the prospect of being captain of anything is weird to him. He likes to be the middleman of command- good for keeping the lower ranks in line, but too high-risk to be the top ranking officer.]

[Humour's overrated anyway. She straightens, gaze more measuring.]

You're military. Are you alone from your world?

[Aaaaand she's getting the side-eye now. He doesn't know you, geez.]

[S'aight man she gets the hint. Military tends to get her attention, but...it's none of her business. Makie ducks her head slightly in acknowledgment.]

If you could direct me to the captain, I won't disrupt your work further, 1st Lieutenant.

[Let's see... Shiro, Shiro... when did he see him last...]

I don't believe he's currently on board. I can send him a message to contact you, if you wish.

Thank you, but...I can wait until he returns. [It's not important enough to drag him back here.] If it's all right, I'll just make some tea.

[Messer shrugs his shoulders slightly. Her choice, no skin off his back.]

We have plenty of that. Do you know where the kitchen is?

If the ship's inner workings have the same layout as others, I should find it with no difficulty.

[Arright, well, he's done the whole token politeness thing. He's got nothing. With a slight gesture inviting her towards the bridge exit, he sits back down to return to his work as a little cleaning bot rolls in and starts vacuuming up the confetti.]
