he's a baby
Who: Zaveid and you!
Broadcast: Fleetwide
Action: Huntress
When: Today!
What the hell--
[ There's a clunk as the communication device is dropped down onto the ground - and the room is one that's filled with greenery, plants here and there with grass where the floor should be. There's another crash as someone wobbly seems to slip and hit the wall. Even though there's a voice, there's no actual person on screen.
Anyone on the Huntress who peeks in will notice that it's definitely Zaveid... But a little bit different.
Kind of rather a lot different, actually.
Bending down, there's the sound of someone who is incredibly frustrated - a man who has no idea what is going on who wants to throw the device halfway across the room again, but...
Then he pokes it. Hard. If the device wasn't a touch bit of machinery it might crack, but luckily it's a bit tougher than his finger. ]
Who the hell...
[ Eventually, Zaveid makes his way through the Huntress, storming through the ship. There's an awful, sinking feeling inside of him - since he can feel the connection he shares with Sorey he's desperately on edge, almost snarling like a wild animal as he makes his way through. ]

[ He glares before he turns his head away, refusing to look. ]
You guys were all getting ready to deal with the Shepherd.

I see.
[ That far back, huh? There is a pit in his stomach, a hollowness that starts to form. ]
There's a kid here, he's probably already found you, but be nice to him okay? He's a Shepherd but he is a good kid, he doesn't treat us like tools he actually cares about us as people.
[ Yes, lets just shift the focus onto something other than Eizen himself. ]
no subject
I already met him, sure. I... [ He's tense, and uncomfortable, staring at the wall. ] I'm stuck with him.
no subject
I know. [ He shifts, moving over to rest a hand on the other's shoulder. ] You have my word that you have nothing to worry about, not with Sorey.
no subject
I’m stuck to another human. You think I’m just gonna accept that?

[ It's not much but it's all he can offer, giving Zaveid's shoulder a slight squeeze. ]
Trust me, you won't have to stomach this for long.
[ He hopes. ]
no subject
Zaveid sighs, looking… Lost. ]
Even that’s too damn long.
no subject
[ He hopes it doesn't last long, whatever this is. Hopes Zaveid doesn't spend the whole time wound up so tight. ]
There's a few bars here, if you want to try to take your mind off it.
[ Let the record show that Eizen is trying. ]
no subject
That all they’ve got here? Bars and humans?
no subject
[ He shrugs. ]
no subject
Alright. A bar, then.
no subject
Come on.
[ He shifts, jerking his head towards the door before moving. ]
no subject
[ Sighing, Zaveid moves forward, arms crossed in front of him. ]
You better get explaining.
no subject
Where do you want me to start?
no subject
no subject
[ He isn't wrong? Just... avoiding the whole truth of it. ]
no subject
[ It's clear just how furious he is. ]
Goddamnit...
no subject
[ Eizen glances over at him, briefly, before quickening his step. He hates this. ]
I can't claim to understand it exactly, this is the first time I've ever seen something like this happen to someone I care about.
no subject
You're going soft on me, Eizen.
no subject
Shut up.
[ It isn't like he can deny it, it isn't as though he can pretend that he didn't start to care about Zaveid the day he watched Theodora lay into him. The day he swore to free Zaveid from his curse and Theodora from her fate. ]
