[A beautiful looking face appears on the screen. He seems to be tapping his lips with one long nail and there are parts of his features that seem almost...birdlike. When he realizes he's correctly started this, he smiles.]

My name is Kogarasumaru. It would seem I am far away from citadel and my children though I wish to still offer my greetings this day. Or perhaps evening? Such confusing times when the sky remains dark and full of stars.

[He bows his head politely in greeting.]

I hope to get along well with all of you here. This father will work hard to aid you.

[He smiles pleasantly then ends the broadcast.]

[Kogarasumaru arrives on the ship he is now assigned to and looks up as the confetti falls. Lifting a piece out of his hair, he smiles at it then looks about the area that he's in. So this is the place he is to stay while he is here? Certainly less comfortable than the citadel or even the fine Imperial settings he was once stored in.

Ah but he doesn't mind that so much. Instead, he lightly starts to walk further into the ship. So feel free to run into him there.

Otherwise he will likely go exploring the rest of the SS Caprine. It really wouldn't hurt to know this layout, after all.]

I suppose one of the most important thing is that, at the back of your neck, there's a piece called an 'augment' that's been inserted into you. Under no circumstances should you try to remove it. Everyone who has tried has ended up with some serious, painful consequences.

I would hate to cause such problems for myself. A father must take care of himself so he may be there for his children.

Rather that I was born to a time where it was not so advanced. When I was given this body it had come a long way but nothing in comparison to what is seen here.

Not as of yet. Though I imagine they cannot be removed.

No, they can't, and attempting to do so results in very painful consequences. So I advise against it, but do you want.

As for what they do - they seem to be the things that make it so you understand the basics of living on the ships and performing certain jobs around the ships. They could do more, they could do less - we really just don't know. Atroma isn't exactly forthcoming, as you'll find out.

This would explain why I am able to understand how the weapons provided in this armory work.

Yup, that would do it. Though if you want some more hands on training with weapons like the guns, I'm happy to give you some proper safety and usage lessons.

Yeah, I wouldn't 100% count on getting your blade back either. There's a chance you could get it. It happens now and then we get things from our home worlds. But if you didn't come with it, it's best to work on the premise you won't be getting it. I wouldn't lose all hope, but that's the practical side of it.

One should be careful saying that to my kind. Though you mean well you could truly terrify a tsukumogami with this knowledge since that sword is something like the other half of my soul.

I apologize if I caused that, but I am a believer in giving people the full and honest truth. Sugar-coating it wouldn't help you, and that is the reality here. But being that it is rather important, there's a higher chance it will show up - eventually.

I am not bothered by the reality of the situation. I speak for others like my children who are tantou. They appear and act much like small children despite their age. While I am prepared for such a thing, this could shatter their spirits. It simply seems unwise to do such to a spirit already in such a nervous state.

A good father must be protective of his children, after all. Even if his children are not currently with him.

It's dually noted. I do try and moderate the way I say things, especially to children. Thankfully we don't seem to have to many of those, so I hope it stays that way. Kids shouldn't see some of the things he we see, or have to deal with them.
