[A beautiful looking face appears on the screen. He seems to be tapping his lips with one long nail and there are parts of his features that seem almost...birdlike. When he realizes he's correctly started this, he smiles.]

My name is Kogarasumaru. It would seem I am far away from citadel and my children though I wish to still offer my greetings this day. Or perhaps evening? Such confusing times when the sky remains dark and full of stars.

[He bows his head politely in greeting.]

I hope to get along well with all of you here. This father will work hard to aid you.

[He smiles pleasantly then ends the broadcast.]

SS Caprine

[Kogarasumaru arrives on the ship he is now assigned to and looks up as the confetti falls. Lifting a piece out of his hair, he smiles at it then looks about the area that he's in. So this is the place he is to stay while he is here? Certainly less comfortable than the citadel or even the fine Imperial settings he was once stored in.

Ah but he doesn't mind that so much. Instead, he lightly starts to walk further into the ship. So feel free to run into him there.

Otherwise he will likely go exploring the rest of the SS Caprine. It really wouldn't hurt to know this layout, after all.]

You'll adjust to the night/day cycles on the ship. You just have to train yourself, but it can take a little to get used to.

Welcome to the fleet, Kogarasumaru. I'm guessing this is your first time on a space ship?

[eventually he'll wander into the kitchen, and sat the table is Baku . . . head down in her arms and for all appearances, completely asleep.

She doesn't stir when she hears someone enter, but she does speak up - albeit muffled into her arms]

One could say it is my second now that I have been assigned a ship.

[There's almost a twinkle of mischief in those eyes of his.]

[He notes what appears to be a young woman at the table and walks over for a closer look. Surprisingly, he's not at all startled to learn she isn't actually asleep!]

I am the new person. You are one of the members of this ship?

[A fair assumption in his opinion.]

I am, yes. My name is Baku; I'm the captain, too.

[she rolls her shoulders and slowly lifts her head, then blinks slowly at the newcomer. She offers a faint smile] I didn't mean to be rude. Hello.

My name is Kogarasumaru. Hello, Baku.

[He offers her a smile and stands straight. Which does nothing to make him taller honestly. He's really very short. He can't be more than five foot at the most.]

Did I interrupt your rest?

_{[ He chuckled at that and tipped his head to acknowledge the touche.

Did you get the rundown of the ships on the Marsiva or was Atroma was unhelpful as ever?

Oh, like the sword. It's nice to meet you.

[she says it so casually like being named after a sword is totally normal. And don't worry sir she barely breaks 5 foot herself, shorties unite]

[she nods] I'm a baku, so I eat dreams. That's what I was doing when you came in.

Ah. I had wondered about your name. It seems what you are and your name are one in the same. I am pleased to meet you and hope you had enough to eat.

James Tiberius Kirk, Captain of the Tourist. But you can call me Jim. Or Kirk. I honestly answer to both.

It is good to meet you, Jim. You may call me what you will. It is my understanding that my name is one that is long for most.

[He laughs lightly.]

What do you feel would be most essential for me to know here?

His name was Doudanuki. A tsukumogami for the Doudanuki sword line.

[she nods] The pleasure is mine, really. It's nice to meet someone I recognize and recognizes me back - it's fairly rare here.

That is one of my children. A shame I could not have come when he was here.

[But...timing. Still, it warms his heart to know he is on the ship that was once the responsibility of one of his children. You can even see the pride in his eyes at that.]

Is it so rare? Then I am pleased to have been assigned here where we may find comfort in simply knowing of the other.

Oh, really? He might come back one day. Sometimes that happens here.

[a shame, she missed a family reunion. Still, she's happy another sword spirit has arrived. She always got along better with spirits like that than the other creatures in her world]

As am I. There's a few other creatures here, and a human. Unless someone's snuck in while I wasn't paying attention, but - you're in good company here.

Kogarasumaru, correct? How about Koga for short?

_{[ He thought for a moment. ]}

I suppose one of the most important thing is that, at the back of your neck, there's a piece called an 'augment' that's been inserted into you. Under no circumstances should you try to remove it. Everyone who has tried has ended up with some serious, painful consequences.

I wish him well wherever he is presently.

I would hate to cause such problems for myself. A father must take care of himself so he may be there for his children.

It certainly is. I can't think of anyone else better suited for a job. [though she has to wonder if gun spirits exist - and then stops that thought, because swords are better]

[He lets out a soft laugh.]

I can endeavor to do my best for you. Though it seems I know how to use the guns, I do prefer a sword I do not have presently.
