[It had hardly taken long to piece it together. He woke up alone, without the warmth of another person nearby. Opening his eyes revealed that the room was back to the size it had been before they'd merged their quarters and the bed really only had enough room for him and the three sleeping snow kittens.

It didn't matter that all of Wolfe's things were still littered around the room, what mattered was the absence of the man himself. He rarely left in the morning without telling Anders something.

He didn't even bother checking to see if he could send a message to Hawke once Anders spotted the ring he had offered Hawke nearly two weeks ago.

It took him a moment to gather himself, but, quietly, he did and checked the communicator just to make sure. How silly of him to even feel surprised or expect anything different.]

To those that knew him, Adalwolfe Hawke is no longer on the fleet.

It appears the same is true of Marian Hawke.

If anyone has any business left unsettled with either of them, please feel free to let me know and I will do my best to help.

[It hadn't taken long to find both missing when he tried to send a message to 'Hawke' and found no Hawkes listed in the fleet. He'd quickly followed up with checking some of the others as well, but it seemed most of everyone was still around. Mostly. Everyone from Kirkwall was gone except him.

He hesitated before adding:]

Fenris is gone as well.

All at once? All of them? [Sorey was far more familiar with Adalwolfe than the other Hawke and Fenris, but still...so many people from the same world, going all together. It's unsettling.]

...will you be okay?

All of them. [To his credit, his voice isn't shaky or even overly emotional, if anything it's tired and almost resigned.]

I appreciate the concern. I will be, it's not as though he's dead. I'm likely to see him again. Someday. [The same couldn't be said of Marian and Fenris. Marian wasn't his Hawke, Wolfe was, she didn't exist in his state of things. And the Fenris he knew...well, he was three years dead and three years too late to try and reconcile anything the way they had here. Whatever that was, it was over and done with.]

If it's okay with you, I think I'll be coming by the Interfaith Center a little bit more. If you need any help with you, you have but to ask as my freetime seems to have grown.

[Yeah honestly uh, Sorey knows baggage when he hears it so he doesn't try to pry any more out of Anders concerning the other companions he lost.]

I would really like it if you could. Stefan, he used to hold prayer sessions and the like but I'm really no good at that sort of thing. Is there anything like that where you're from that you'd like to perform here?

[Oh, Sorey, you want baggage, that suggestion alone comes with ten times more than losing companions.]

No! No. I mean, yes, plenty. Sermons and general prayers for the Maker and Andraste held in the Chantry, usually by Sisters and Mothers and the occasional Chancellor.

But I- [He laughs, but it's an airy thing.] I don't think I would be a good choice for that. I appreciate the offer, I'm touched, even, but people like me don't do things like that.

[Mage. Rebel. Number one most wanted by the Chantry for blowing up Kirkwall's Chantry and inciting mage rebellion across the south.

The religious side of him reveled in the idea, the more practical side of him was fairly certain it would be some kind of cosmic joke.]

["People like me," yeah, that definitely sounds like baggage. And it's a sentiment Anders has voiced before, when he was worried about setting up an altar. About how mages and worship don't tend to mix well.

Still, it hurts to see Anders see so eager to find comfort and solace in whatever worship he would engage in and...still so discouraged about trying. There has to be something Sorey can do.]

Hmm...well. What about me? I know I'm not a Sister or Mother or Chancellor, but would it be okay for me to do it? I could give mini sermons for you, if you'd like.

[He wasn't expecting the offer. It wasn't like it was Sorey's religion, he had no stake in whether or not someone spoke to the Maker or prayed to Andraste, and yet he was offering. Something he was fairly sure no one in Thedas would have evn thought to make such an offer. That gives him audible pause, but he answers soon enough.]

Yes. Yes, please, if you're willing.

It doesn't really matter to me if you're a religious figure or not, it doesn't make the words or sentiment less true.]

Okay. I'll need your help on what to say and do, but I'd be happy to help. [He's not used to being a religious figure, that's for sure, but he has tons of practice caring about other people. Anders just always looks so wounded those rare times he comes by the Center...if this is something that Sorey can do to help, well, he's more than ready.]
