Who: Haggar (and you!)
Broadcast: n/a
Action: SS First Breath, Planetside, Iskaulit
When: probably up until the 13th? Or later for the Iskaulit threads, if needed! Should be flexible!
A.
[First Breath]
[...She'd had barely enough time to examine the Marvisa after her disoriented waking up, in an attempt to figure it out before she found herself on the bridge of The First Breath instead. Cloaked and hooded of course, eyes glowing a bright yellow as her gaze flits around the area, seeming altogether too tense for some supposed celebration.
The music and confetti is unamusing, of course. Haggar's first instinct is to examine the bridge, and question the first person she sees if they don't approach her first.
Otherwise most of the time she'll be poking about the rest of the ship, seeing what it has and doesn't have available, observing the other crew with some suspicion, sometimes giving withering looks to the exposed wires and pipes, and, coming across her own supposed "station", trying to compare what she knows--what she thought she knew, to the new information that she had overriding it in her brain. Disorienting. She hates it already.]
B.
[Planetside]
[ After the first few days of acclimating to the ship and the situation, as much as it displeases her, well, there's a whole unknown planet with secrets down there to explore. Or at least to study and see if it can provide any clues to anything.
Most of her time ends up being drawn to going through books in the library, and after that, briefly checking out the other areas which seem to have drawn particular extensive attention. If someone's around, she might inquire as to what their investigation showed... or simply just watch and see what she can glean from listening and observing. The old fashioned way.
She likely draws some attention, wherever she shows up, garbed up as she is. Sometimes, though, she might be distracted, trying to find places to meditate or discern the nature of the planet herself. ]
C.
[Iskaulit]
[ After doing enough examining of the planet, and finding herself tired out from the process, she decides that regrouping and learning more about the fleet itself again is the higher priority. Besides, there are some other pressing concerns she has to be wary about...
In any case, the best way to do that seems to be by examining this ship that seems to be the main area for the fleeters to gather. Too many people, frankly, most of her time is spent skulking in the shadows, observing when she can, unless she happens to get caught. Which is certainly possible. She's not infallible.
But there are other times when certain rooms catch her interest. The lecture hall, the library, the labs, those seem to be where she gravitates toward on her own, whether to read or find clues. In one instance she finds the study room, where in a point of... some agitation, she sets a few of the globes rotating all at once and glares at them. How completely unproductive. ]

I've made some great friends here that I never would have met otherwise. Some of the planets are truly awful, but some are actually pretty cool! And we've been able to help a lot of people on some of those crap planets.
[You know, if you're into that sort of thing.]
no subject
She's frowning again. There had to be something useful in that information...]
These other planets... you were unable to stay on them to get away from this fleet?
[Because that seems like it would have been something to attempt, presuming that the planet wasn't inhabitable or had enough resources to manage that.]
no subject
Uh, nope! If you try, you just get zapped back to your ship when it's time to leave. If it were that easy, we wouldn't still be here, right?
no subject
How convenient. It must be quite a power, to bind us to these ships particularly.
[Or has something to do with those intrusive implants.]
Have escapes been managed?
no subject
I don't really, um... You should probably talk to someone else about all that. Kaiden, maybe? He's the first mate on this ship.
no subject
[Talking to more people, she wasn't certain she liked the sound of that but she'd keep it in mind.]
Very well. And what is your purpose on this ship?
[She had acquired some knowledge of roles and while it had her a bit on alert to have that in her head, she didn't know what the others did here on the ship, exactly.]
no subject
What’d they stick you with?
no subject
[Well she knew right away what that designated. And since she had asked him for his, there was no reason to conceal her own at this time.]
It seems that I have the Lab designation.
[Which was both suitable and yet insulting all at once.]
no subject
[They've been missing a lab guy. Lady. Person.]
Is that anything like what you did back home?
no subject
[It certainly was a dampener on someone with high ingenuity, but there wasn't much that could be done for that just yet.]
These augments are intrusive.
no subject
Mine did come with cute little cleaning droids though! I named them Eeny, Meeny, Miney, and Jack.
no subject
[And meanwhile, one of those names is not like the others... does she care? ... It's very hard to care. At the same time:
Okay fine, she'll bite.]
... Why 'Jack'?
no subject
[His was out of the way enough he could forget about it most days. But all it took was brushing his hand over it once, and he would spend the whole day thinking about it.
He grins.]
He looks like a Jack.
no subject
Of course. It's not a challenge to back down from.
[Time, study, and dealing with limited resources, those were clearly some of the factors involved.
As for his quip... there was something strangely charming about that, as bizarre as it all was, corners of her lips turning upward in the faintest of smiles.]
Then I'll know which one he is immediately, I'm certain.
no subject
[He wasn't the smartest or most skilled, but he had some talent with tech that wasn't attributed to the augment. The offer was out there regardless.
He grins back brightly.]
He's not hard to miss. [And he scratched their names onto each one...
Speaking of names.] I'm Prompto, by the way.
no subject
[Of course all the talk about names would come down to necessary introductions. She was the sort of person used to other people either introducing her, or knowing her by reputation.
Having to do it herself... wasn't something she was prepared for.]
... You may call me High Priestess for now.
no subject
[Was that like a religious leader or an Oracle?]
Sounds important.
no subject
[She just has her reasons for using that for now.]
no subject
no subject
[Not that she's happy about that, but what can she do? It's not as if the management takes complaints. This is also the closest she's ever come to a casual conversation in ... a long time.]
