Who: Haggar (and you!)
Broadcast: n/a
Action: SS First Breath, Planetside, Iskaulit
When: probably up until the 13th? Or later for the Iskaulit threads, if needed! Should be flexible!
A.
[First Breath]
[...She'd had barely enough time to examine the Marvisa after her disoriented waking up, in an attempt to figure it out before she found herself on the bridge of The First Breath instead. Cloaked and hooded of course, eyes glowing a bright yellow as her gaze flits around the area, seeming altogether too tense for some supposed celebration.
The music and confetti is unamusing, of course. Haggar's first instinct is to examine the bridge, and question the first person she sees if they don't approach her first.
Otherwise most of the time she'll be poking about the rest of the ship, seeing what it has and doesn't have available, observing the other crew with some suspicion, sometimes giving withering looks to the exposed wires and pipes, and, coming across her own supposed "station", trying to compare what she knows--what she thought she knew, to the new information that she had overriding it in her brain. Disorienting. She hates it already.]
B.
[Planetside]
[ After the first few days of acclimating to the ship and the situation, as much as it displeases her, well, there's a whole unknown planet with secrets down there to explore. Or at least to study and see if it can provide any clues to anything.
Most of her time ends up being drawn to going through books in the library, and after that, briefly checking out the other areas which seem to have drawn particular extensive attention. If someone's around, she might inquire as to what their investigation showed... or simply just watch and see what she can glean from listening and observing. The old fashioned way.
She likely draws some attention, wherever she shows up, garbed up as she is. Sometimes, though, she might be distracted, trying to find places to meditate or discern the nature of the planet herself. ]
C.
[Iskaulit]
[ After doing enough examining of the planet, and finding herself tired out from the process, she decides that regrouping and learning more about the fleet itself again is the higher priority. Besides, there are some other pressing concerns she has to be wary about...
In any case, the best way to do that seems to be by examining this ship that seems to be the main area for the fleeters to gather. Too many people, frankly, most of her time is spent skulking in the shadows, observing when she can, unless she happens to get caught. Which is certainly possible. She's not infallible.
But there are other times when certain rooms catch her interest. The lecture hall, the library, the labs, those seem to be where she gravitates toward on her own, whether to read or find clues. In one instance she finds the study room, where in a point of... some agitation, she sets a few of the globes rotating all at once and glares at them. How completely unproductive. ]
*[CR meme and permissions just in case, otherwise let's YOLO and see how it goes!]

She moves closer, watching patiently, but, you know, she's not very good at this announcing-her-presence thing.]

Haggar's (not that Katara knows the woman's name) able to get pretty close before Katara hears a sound and glances up. ]
Oh, hello. [A brief smile of recognition; there is still something about this woman that is off, but Katara has been trapped in these places long enough that she knows that sometimes you need to put grievances aside and work together. She's not done anything evil or creepy since Katara's known her, so... Katara just straightens up a little to better address her.] You look like you're doing better.

The snow is magical in nature, an ongoing spell that keeps the natural habitat for these animals. Katie isn't responsible for it, but she sure takes advantage of it as a way to recharge her own batteries. She's not in evidence. Not obviously, anyway.
Standing out by the colour of her fur, there's a black and white cat curled up against two sleeping foxes for warmth. She's known and accepted by the animals now, and the cold doesn't bother her that much. Possibly just a cat. Or not, given Haggar's ability to sense magic within.
Sup.]
no subject
In all seriousness, though, there is more to explore about this ship than she thought, even if some of the areas haven't been particularly useful, others too crowded. This, though... that strange magic in the air is what draws her attention, as much as the peacefulness of it. Difficult, to find peace, a place to meditate quietly without feeling too cramped or worse, like the experience on the planet.
No, this was... almost strangely pleasant and that was something new, really; it's been a long time since she's interacted with a planet that had snow on it without trying to drain it for it's resources--but even then she did so very indirectly, it was hard to care. Now it was just...
... Well, there was a sense of something else here, another presence, something gnawingly familiar, though she doesn't see any people-shapes around.
Only the foxes, and that strange cat... which she had almost dismissed at first, but now they had caught her attention. But she says nothing, but she watches. She had time. ]
no subject
The cat's more than happy to bask for quite a while, though it eventually stretches its paws out and tugs itself loose from the pile, shaking snow loose from its ears.
After a moment, its unblinking green gaze swivels in Haggar's direction.
Oho. It's the space witch. She didn't strike Katie as the type to look at foxes, but then again there's enough magic present that the park is a curiosity. And she's not quite ready to make it obvious that Katie is both human and cat, not with a woman doin it for the witch aesthetic who won't even give her name. (Ominous much?)
...but she can't resist padding her way over to Haggar to sit at her feet and stare up at her, just to see what she'll do.]

Not even this scary lady on his ship can bring him down.
Much.]
...Hi? Are you new here, or just visiting?
no subject
[Scary lady isn't pleased.]
But I require more information to sort this out. How long have you been on this ship?
no subject
[He offers a tentative smile.]
Oh, damn. Hm. I dunno. I arrived in the fleet about a year ago, and transferred to the First Breath pretty quick after.

Shiro drops the book he's looking at as soon as he sees her, having no trouble recognizing her. Quiznak, this can't be happening, it can'tcan'tcan't. The possibility has always been there but he's avoided thinking too hard about it, the thought simply too much to deal with.
But now she's here. During his so-called "break from home".
He hits a shelf when he starts making his way out, more books falling to the floor.]
no subject
And that's when she sees him. Of course...]
So you are here... Champion.
no subject
Of all the people Atroma could bring, why her?
Shiro doesn't turn around when he answers, his tone as cold as it can be.]

[But, as absorbed as Morgan is in his studies, he doesn't miss the older woman creeping around the library. She doesn't give off the best vibes, but after eating a meal cooked by Death himself, Morgan isn't one to judge. He approaches her, books in hand.]
Are you doing research here, too?

Maybe he'll go back down planetside again. Pick up a few more things. Maybe even some little gifts for people?]

Well. This guy turns a corner and nearly steps into her, as she... well, like a startled cat, jumps out of the way to avoid a collision. In the effort, her hood slides back, if only for a brief moment, as she quickly reaches back to pull it back over.]

He was tired and disappointed after the grisly discovery on the planet. Too many memories of the mass graves he had to dig back home. Perhaps it was how he's spent the last month thinking about his life back home. Or maybe it was just that the hyper awareness to always check the dark, shadowy places never really leaves a person once their head is worth sixty billion dead or alive. Either way he notices Haggar lingering in the shadows.]
Hello there. [He turns his head to give her a friendly smile, but his eyes aren't overly bright. There's no honest enjoyment to the happy demur he's putting on now.] Finding everything you need on this ship alright?
no subject
What I need isn't here.
[It seemed preferable than to remaining on their own cramped ships for too long. Almost. She could tell that he seemed distracted.]
But I've been able to find my way around, if that's what you're asking. [She's not used to concern.] Why?

When Haggar arrives, he turns his head to look at her, his brow immediately furrowing. The snow leopard kitten at his side, however--previously occupying herself with tearing apart a stuffed animal in front of the air conditioning--is a little more responsive. She sees a new person with lots of flowing clothes, and this seems like the kind of thing she can pounce on. She pads over to Haggar, following the swish of robes. As soon as Haggar stops moving, she drops into a bow, butt wiggling in the air as she prepares to pounce on the hem of Haggar's robe.]
no subject
Such as it is, she doesn't seem to notice the cat's attention. Depending on just how the animal intends to pounce, however, she just might teleport out of the way as a reaction.]

He looks up from the gun he's dismantling as Haggar's shadow crosses the doorway.]
Oh. Hey there. Looking for something?
[The question is light and friendly. She could be anyone: newcomer, guest, or invader. And it's that last option that leads to the tiniest twitch of his hand towards his sidearm.]
no subject
She studies him carefully, taking in the look of the armory and noticing his hand on a weapon, an eyebrow raising slightly, though it's probably not too visible under the shade of her hood.]
No, I'm simply looking around.
[... She should probably explain better. That's what her other interactions had implied, anyway.] I've been assigned to this... ship.
