Who: Haggar (and you!)
Broadcast: n/a
Action: SS First Breath, Planetside, Iskaulit
When: probably up until the 13th? Or later for the Iskaulit threads, if needed! Should be flexible!
A.
[First Breath]
[...She'd had barely enough time to examine the Marvisa after her disoriented waking up, in an attempt to figure it out before she found herself on the bridge of The First Breath instead. Cloaked and hooded of course, eyes glowing a bright yellow as her gaze flits around the area, seeming altogether too tense for some supposed celebration.
The music and confetti is unamusing, of course. Haggar's first instinct is to examine the bridge, and question the first person she sees if they don't approach her first.
Otherwise most of the time she'll be poking about the rest of the ship, seeing what it has and doesn't have available, observing the other crew with some suspicion, sometimes giving withering looks to the exposed wires and pipes, and, coming across her own supposed "station", trying to compare what she knows--what she thought she knew, to the new information that she had overriding it in her brain. Disorienting. She hates it already.]
B.
[Planetside]
[ After the first few days of acclimating to the ship and the situation, as much as it displeases her, well, there's a whole unknown planet with secrets down there to explore. Or at least to study and see if it can provide any clues to anything.
Most of her time ends up being drawn to going through books in the library, and after that, briefly checking out the other areas which seem to have drawn particular extensive attention. If someone's around, she might inquire as to what their investigation showed... or simply just watch and see what she can glean from listening and observing. The old fashioned way.
She likely draws some attention, wherever she shows up, garbed up as she is. Sometimes, though, she might be distracted, trying to find places to meditate or discern the nature of the planet herself. ]
C.
[Iskaulit]
[ After doing enough examining of the planet, and finding herself tired out from the process, she decides that regrouping and learning more about the fleet itself again is the higher priority. Besides, there are some other pressing concerns she has to be wary about...
In any case, the best way to do that seems to be by examining this ship that seems to be the main area for the fleeters to gather. Too many people, frankly, most of her time is spent skulking in the shadows, observing when she can, unless she happens to get caught. Which is certainly possible. She's not infallible.
But there are other times when certain rooms catch her interest. The lecture hall, the library, the labs, those seem to be where she gravitates toward on her own, whether to read or find clues. In one instance she finds the study room, where in a point of... some agitation, she sets a few of the globes rotating all at once and glares at them. How completely unproductive. ]

C
The snow is magical in nature, an ongoing spell that keeps the natural habitat for these animals. Katie isn't responsible for it, but she sure takes advantage of it as a way to recharge her own batteries. She's not in evidence. Not obviously, anyway.
Standing out by the colour of her fur, there's a black and white cat curled up against two sleeping foxes for warmth. She's known and accepted by the animals now, and the cold doesn't bother her that much. Possibly just a cat. Or not, given Haggar's ability to sense magic within.
Sup.]

In all seriousness, though, there is more to explore about this ship than she thought, even if some of the areas haven't been particularly useful, others too crowded. This, though... that strange magic in the air is what draws her attention, as much as the peacefulness of it. Difficult, to find peace, a place to meditate quietly without feeling too cramped or worse, like the experience on the planet.
No, this was... almost strangely pleasant and that was something new, really; it's been a long time since she's interacted with a planet that had snow on it without trying to drain it for it's resources--but even then she did so very indirectly, it was hard to care. Now it was just...
... Well, there was a sense of something else here, another presence, something gnawingly familiar, though she doesn't see any people-shapes around.
Only the foxes, and that strange cat... which she had almost dismissed at first, but now they had caught her attention. But she says nothing, but she watches. She had time. ]

The cat's more than happy to bask for quite a while, though it eventually stretches its paws out and tugs itself loose from the pile, shaking snow loose from its ears.
After a moment, its unblinking green gaze swivels in Haggar's direction.
Oho. It's the space witch. She didn't strike Katie as the type to look at foxes, but then again there's enough magic present that the park is a curiosity. And she's not quite ready to make it obvious that Katie is both human and cat, not with a woman doin it for the witch aesthetic who won't even give her name. (Ominous much?)
...but she can't resist padding her way over to Haggar to sit at her feet and stare up at her, just to see what she'll do.]
no subject
In any case, that sure is a cat wandering toward her. What an intent gaze for such a small animal.]
So you've come over to say hello? What an odd creature you are.
[And this seems to be an accidental staring contest, as she settles herself onto her knees as if sitting for a ritual. Joke's on you cat. She can hold a gaze for as long as needed. Especially with how suspicious you are. ]
no subject
...we could be here a while.]
no subject
Seriously she has nothing better to do right now.]
no subject
Just a normal every day cat this is what cats do
Magical cats too tbh
/nose twitch]
no subject
And really cat if you get bored then she can meditate properly, it's win-win for her.]
no subject
Katie gets fidgety. And bored. And hasn't won yet, so eventually ducks her head to lick her paws like she's lost interest in the whole thing, you do you, lady. She saunters off into the bushes a moment later.
(God. Can't even outstare a witch, how lame. Must be because she's a space witch.)]
no subject
But she's not a particularly trusting soul, so. She Waits, calmly, idly trailing her fingers through the snow in a circular pattern around her.]
no subject
Maybe a minute after the cat disappears into the bush, never to be seen again, Katie's voice echoes cheerfully from the doorway into this section.]
Playing in the snow? Are you going to build a snowman?
no subject
... And frankly this girl's references continue to go over her head.]
Perhaps you'll have to show me how.
no subject
You want to learn how to build a snowman? [S k e p t i c a l]
no subject
[Not that she sounds like she cares particularly, one way or the other. Her little "picture" on the ground is looking very circular, almost like a glyph, really.]
Is that why you're here?
no subject
[And without further ado she plonks herself down in the snow next to Haggar, though she keeps a short distance between them, and peers curiously at the glyph-ish mark. Sam taught her a few, but they're very specific.]
Myself, I prefer snow cats. Or possibly a scene of snowmen advocating for snowmen rights in a long-suffering father's front yard. Though I suppose none of that made any sense to you at all.
[Nevertheless, she's scooping small piles of snow up in front of her.]
no subject
Hard to tell. Too many people spoke too quickly here, going on about subjects that had no meaning to her. Really, this is just an excuse to gather herself, as it were, and observe the oddity that this person was in front of her.]
No, not really. If you have a preference, then by all means, you don't have to humor me.
no subject
[She's not sure if that's true or not. But okay. Observe away as Katie sculpts the snow in front of her into a little cat. It's all very mundane, but she hums a little as she does it.]
Do you have any pets?
no subject
As mundane as the little snow cat is, there's something very peaceful about all of it. Not a sensation she often has, which is strange in itself, but perhaps that's just what happens, when one is taken out of their consistently corruption-filled environment.]
Some time ago.
[Experiments and robeast fodder most likely, over the passage of years, but there might have been hints of fondness for some. Anything before that... she hardly remembers. Something about cats, though...]
Why do you ask?
no subject
[Some time ago is a sad thing. But animals don't live very long.]
no subject
Is that so...
[There's a flicker of an echo, of a strange cat loping around in search of someone.]
They do exist, where I come from.
[Even if they haven't had them around Central Command... and the fact that she had no recollection of that particular cat in it's current form.]
no subject
A space cat to go with a space witch.]
They're the most odd of animals. Both eternally patient but eternally curious. And they always think you're there at their beck and call.
no subject
[Granted, that description could also fit her in some ways, humorously. Cat person indeed, pushing curiosity as far as she dared, patient to see what results it yielded, but yet suspicious of anyone who dared pose a challenge to such inquisitiveness.]
Is that what you like about them?
no subject
[Humans too. And other oddities of the universe.]
no subject
[In her book, everything's got a use one way or the other, but it's harder to care for specifics.
She'll casually start to make a little cat of her own though, outside of the lines of her glyph. Maybe with some improvements.]
no subject
[Oh, that's the spirit. She peers with interest at Haggar's work.]
