[Getting used to a new lifestyle has been a challenge that has been made more difficult by the fact that he doesn't have his pack here. Nor his mate who also happens to be his Beta. Without that balancing force and without so much as a job to do he can slowly feel himself getting...twitchy. Which means that he falls back on the most comforting thing in his life and the thing he obviously does the best.

The unfortunate victim? The SS Blameless.

It starts off small. The dishes get replaced for real ones. The quality of tea goes up. A piece of art comes to decorate a wall or table to make things more homey. However, it doesn't stop there. Oh no. The werewolf is in full takeover now and he's going to make this the finest looking ship in the fleet if it kills him.

Should you be one of the crew you can expect him to show up to discuss how to improve the look of your quarters or even the look of your work station. Should you be someone visiting well you can be sure to find the shortest crew member of the Blameless moving about fixing things up.

And yes. He did put welcome mats in front of the cargo hold doors and the shuttle bay doors. What about it? Just because he's not a commanding officer doesn't mean he can't manage something.]

Functional can still be personalized. Then it would be more welcoming and comforting for those visiting this lab. Perhaps even provide a more relaxing atmosphere to make it easier to do your job.

[He's not sure why he's explaining various ways to do a bedside manner properly but here he is.]

[A more relaxing atmosphere? Anything was more relaxing than a glowing purple room with the stuff the Galra thought were good tools to have around. This was already a thousand times better than that.

Still, color him curious. How would someone make a medical facility more "relaxing"? Because of above reason before, he wouldn't have a clue to where to start on his own or if it was even needed]

And what you would suggest?

[He's certainly pleased that the other is listening to him. If nothing else that is a start and one he will certainly accept and run with.]

I would recommend adjusting the color scheme to be less clinical. Possibly bring in some warmth to the room or even some personal touches that represent things you find enjoyable. People are more able to relax in rooms like this.

So... something other than white?

[That was less clinical to him, but then again Galra ships were dark with purple lighting. In every room. Or almost every]

I find the outdoors more enjoyable since having the chance recently to leave the ship.

Perhaps we could look into more Earthy colors then. Something to represent nature?

[Luckily he's good at that given the fact that werewolves are terribly fond of Earth tones.]

[Ulaz did pause to look around the lab. Maybe it would be better to have some other colors in here. Even if he didn't have any patients, all one color wasn't very interesting. He was used to it so if Sandalio had never come to him, he probably would have never considered it]

They can't interfer with my work in the lab.

I would not dream of them doing so. This is a place of work in the end.

[He smiles warmly at him as he looks around to study various places and what they are being used for and what empty spaces could be used for instead. There are few of the latter but something like a small plant could do such wonders.]

Might you be interested in a small plant or two? Perhaps we could look into some sort of herb that could be used for medicine.

[Ulaz took the moment that Sandalio was looking around the lab to look around as well. There weren't a lot of empty spaces, but there were a few. Unfortunately for others, Ulaz tended to place things at level that was convenient for him, which was above what most people would place the same items. The effect of this was that it created more empty space lower, closer to human eye level.

Ulaz was actually about to object to the idea of a plant (what purpose did that have) until he continued. Yes... herbs that could used in place of chemicals would be preferable for minor issues]

I am unfamiliar with names of herbs in this area and what they would do.

I could do some research at the library to see what plants have medicinal qualities then obtain a couple for you. I will have to be going down to look for bedding anyway so I can look for that at the same time.

[He seems quite pleased that Ulaz is interested in his plant idea. He knows he'll like it too since it will likely mean something pleasant to smell when he has to come in here. Not that he ever needs to but it could still help.]

I would appreciate that. If it could serve a purpose, then it would be better to one that simply sits there.

If nothing else, it couldn't hurt to have something in the lab that made it look less... sterile]

I am. Perhaps we could discuss how you would like to see your own quarters decorated?

[Apparently he's going as far as to see that even the bedrooms are taken care of. You better believe it.]

No one ever goes there so there's not much point to it.

[Well, he goes there... but only one to sleep. He doesn't spend a lot of time in there. It's too small.

I personally do not view a bedroom as a place where one decorates for a guest. It is a personal sanctuary with things meant to bring personal comfort. Sometimes objects you can look at that relax you and sometimes just things that are more practical. Like comfortable bedding, for example.

I personally have obtained a more comfortable mattress for my bed and have seen to it that I have at least a rug on the floor and a mirror on the wall. Little personal things that are more of what I am used to. We could find small things that will make you more comfortable and relaxed during your time in that room.

More comfortable bedding would at least be preferable to what we currently.

[Too bad they probably can't make the bed longer for him.

There's so much that he has pretty much given up thinking about since the Blade of Marmora began fighting against eh Galra Empire. A room as "personal sanctuary" was one of them]

I suppose looking and considering ideas wouldn't hurt anything. They aren't really things I've had for quite some time, but I guess this is the only chance I'm going to get to try it.

It would not hurt to have a taste of it. If nothing else you could quite enjoy it.

[And he is pleased to be convincing him.]

Have you a color preference for items in your room that I could look for?

No, it wouldn't hurt.

Similar colors to what would be here. Earth tones.

That simplifies things. I can look for general earth tones when I look for things for both rooms.
