#003 [Video]
Who: Hiro Hamada
Broadcast: Fleetwide Video
Action: Waystation/Bishop
When: Sometime after the attacks.
[The video opens on Hiro, who's looking over his shoulder at what... looks like it might have once been the Bishop. It really barely survived that battle. He looks a little exasperated, but not visibly injured--at least not what can be seen of him here.]
So, it looks like we've got our work cut out for us. [he glances back to the camera.] For everybody who doesn't know, my name is Hiro Hamada. I'm the engineer on the SS Bishop. I know there aren't enough engineers to go around for the repairs we all need, so I'm going to offer my services. I know my way around things like this. If you need help on your ship, let me know. If you can't do the repairs, but you can work to get parts, I'll take that in payment.
[he looks like he's about to sign off, but he pauses.]
Oh, right. If you're not an engineer in augment, but you can help, make sure you're pulling your weight. The faster we can get done repairing, the faster we can go back to our lives.

Oh, good. I brought lunch. Figured it'd be really anticlimactic if you couldn't actually eat it.
[nevermind that it's probably like 5pm and not lunchtime at all.]

Well, I definitely can. Then maybe Tadashi'll stop checking up on me every half an hour.
[a pause.]
I should probably get a towel. I don't trust our showers yet, though.

[he glances up at the ship, looking at what's in need of repair from the outside.]
Here, you can give me a tour on the way. What's been giving you the most problems?

[Hiro's ushering him inside, kind of pointing as he goes.]
Gravity stayed on, but navigation went out. Right now, my main concern is the damage to the hull and the wiring inside. Some of the alarms aren't functioning right, so the wiring on them must have gotten loose. I won't even test the work I did on the showers until the rest is fixed.

[he follows along, looking at the different insides of this ship--the same structure, with a different heartbeat.]
And I assume your diagnostics system is down? It's pretty rudimentary on my ship, but it might be able to give us a damage assessment, save some time figuring out which parts of the aren't even receiving power right now.

[he sighs, and turns into the bathroom to grab at the nearest towel to start wiping his hands and face off. he looks down at the white cloth and the black smears on it when he's done, and makes a face.]
Egh. I'm gross.
no subject
No worries. I'm not judging.
[an amused sound--] Though I guess I could offer for you guys to use our showers. Like I said, we made it out pretty clear.
no subject
[just being honest.]
But thanks for the offer. [let him just get the rest of himself wiped down to the best of his abilities and double-check his hands so he doesn't end up eating oil.]
... Alright, all good for lunch.

[he digs into his bag, pulls out something wrapped--which is a sandwich. but it's a really good one. lots of stuff on it, real bread. definitely not made from anything on this station; probably comprised of leftovers from the last planet they were on.
he's got one for himself, too.]
You wanna sit or anything?
no subject
Yeah, we can chill out in the...
[which room is sparking the least]
... Kitchen.
[this way please]
no subject
[he follows, of course. hooray. to the kitchen they go--and Robin doesn't hesitate to have himself a seat wherever there's the most room. a chair, a crate. an upturned piece of junk, whatever.]
So, Hiro... How've you been?
