time to be heroic or something
Who: Ochako & you!
Broadcast: Yes!
Action: Yes!!
When: Now and throughout the week
( starstruck )
[The camera clicks on to Ochako, who is in full costume for once! Sans the helmet, at least for now. It's tucked under her arm. She shuffles from foot to foot, waves, and then bows slightly.]
Hello everyone! I have a request. Would any of the fleet's engineers be able to make something for me? Like, um. Rocket-y? I heard about there being a jetpack a while back... so something like that is what I'm looking for. And if you know anybody who can do that sort of thing, please ask for me! All I know is maintenance, so I'm kinda useless when it comes to making cool gear... I can collect parts, though, if you need anything from the planet!
Oh, and I'm not asking for free! I can pay if you want money... well I don't have a lot but maybe I could pay over time? I can also cook for you and your ship, or bring my little bots over to clean, or... we can work something out!
[She pauses to think for a moment, puzzling over what she might have forgotten, and then-]
Right! The other thing! Is there anybody with super-strength who can help me practice? I want to try a few things that I can't do on my own.
Thanks, everybody!

[Ochako's in overdrive today! And all week, really. She's discovered the parkour course and is running through it, over and over, only taking small breaks between to catch her breath and get a drink. She's practicing activating and cancelling her Quirk in quick succession, using her temporary moments of weightlessness to launch herself into higher jumps over the equipment than her small legs would normally allow.
Sure, it means once in a while she loses control and faceplants spectacularly, but that's what practice is for!
When she isn't practicing, she'll be wandering around the Iskaulit, poking her head into rooms less-often visited to see what's changed, or tidying up the art therapy room she likes to visit since it's been mostly abandoned for a while now. She'll be all over at sporadic times.]

Of course I can throw them. And I guess if you get hurt, I could even heal you. I don't want you to tell Sorey I beat you up or something.
[She's not awful. Mostly.]
If you go down to the grove, we can see how well you can avoid the boulders and keep the trees from being crushed too.

[It'll be like a rescue effort, then! She can pretend they're people. Which also means that the pressure is on...
With a determined huff she smacks her hands together and jogs over to where she's directed, standing at the ready.]
no subject
[She waits until Ochako is ready and stands from her perch. The ground under her feet glows a golden yellow. A rock almost as big as Edna appears and she flicks a finger to send it flying.
And covers a yawn with her other hand.]
no subject
Ah!! Sorry, I'm sorry! I'll fix it!
no subject
Although, there's something a little satisfying about the way the rocks smack into the wall and disintegrate into dust and pebbles.]
You keep up with that and I'll have to fix you.
[Pay. Attention. Because here's a second, Ochako.]
no subject
....Ah! It worked!
no subject
At least my trees aren't smashed. But then there's ba rock in the air. What're you going to do with it?
no subject
[If it were in a better position, she'd just let it drop, but right now it's floating too close to the trees to risk it. Actually, though, that gives her an idea- so with a quick pat-down on her suit to make it lighter, she scampers over to the tree and climbs up, then goes for a flying leap from a branch to the floating boulder. It rotates around a bit at the sudden impact, the momentum pushing it further away towards the grass instead of any important plants.
Only then does she climb up to the top, pressing her hands together to release her power. The rock drops immediately with a loud crash, and she jumps off before it impacts, the springy heels of her boots cushioning the impact.]
Ta-dah!

I've seen worse. Your outfit is weird. Is that what you wanted to test out?
no subject
[She scoots over to the rock, tapping her hand against it and rolling it gently towards the corner, out of the way.]
I want to get better at deflecting and moving rubble and stuff, so I can move faster in an emergency. Help people around falling rocks or around explosions... that kind of thing. It's what my power's best for, I think.
no subject
So, you're trying to get better at being a goody-two-shoes? You're friends with Sorey; I guess it's not that surprising. [Long, put out sigh that is totally for show.] What actual powers do you have?
no subject
[Case in point: she lifts the rock up to carry and tuck it into place.]
no subject
That seems like a very interesting "quirk". Very useful.

[Edna taps a finger against her lips as one of the rocks lifts straight up and it flies towards the girl.
Just because she's questioning her doesn't mean she's not going to make sure she's paying attention.]
I suppose you're not such a goody-goody after all.
no subject
[And then she catches the sound of whooshing air just in time, spinning around and lurching to the side for a hasty dodge. She's not quite out of the way yet, so she smacks her hands against her thighs and jumps, lifting several meters higher than someone of her stature ought to be able to reach, floating in the air as the rock flies beneath her.]
Ahhh, sneaky! That was really good, you almost got me!
no subject
You asked for my help. That doesn't stop with just a few attempts or because you're answering questions.

[And humans have such small life expectancies. She wants to make sure the humans she deals with have some common sense. Even if she has to be it into them.
Plus, she is used to being a teacher with Sorey and Mikleo running around.]
How can you help anyone if you're dead?
no subject
...Um. I mean, I can't, yeah... 'm not saying you're wrong to do it. I'm praising you for it, y'know?
no subject
Praising me.
[Even when she's deadpan, she can get across that she doesn't think that's a good thing.]
I think it's time for more than one at a time.
no subject
A-ahh, okay, okay! Whatever you say!
