[The Space Bar staff made good use of the ever-replenishing alcohol supply at their last stop, and Nami and Remy got around to discussing the idea of testing various experimental mixes to come up with new additions for the menu.  I mean, add to that Nami hasn't made a decision which one of the applicants should take the main bar job, so clearly the best idea is to shove them all into one place and ply them with alcohol while they talk to each other and work it out after that.

No, it's a good idea.  Shut up.

...okay.  It may just be a good excuse for a party.  Sue her.]

Aw, daiquiris are a favourite of mine. [It's the rum and citrus.] But not everyone has a real sweet tooth, I guess. Hmm. Sweet but not too sweet? Or would you run more to sour or bitter?

Maybe sour, I guess. Not a fan of bitter.

[He shrugged a little.]

I mean, I like sweet things, but it was a weird kind of sweet. Not one I'm used to, I guess.

All right. We're getting somewhere. What's your opinion of apples?

Mm... apples are good.

[Keith nodded.]

I like apple juice, too.

Okay, then. Let's start you off with some apple cider.

[The alcoholic kind, of course. Give her a second and she'll rustle up a mug for you.]

Oh, sure.

[Of course, this definitely wasn't the cider he was thinking of. Then again... it was good. It was really good.]

Woah. I think that's the best thing I've tried all night.

[Careful... he might drink it too fast...]

[That was easy. She only looks amused at the speed it gets downed. At least it's weak enough it might take a few to trip him up.]

Sweet with a tang of sour, which stops it being too sugary. If you tell Remy you like the cider I'm sure he can experiment to find a mix you'd like.

Mix it with other stuff?

[That sounded interesting.]

Maybe. It's really good already on its own.

What kinds of stuff do you normally drink?

Depends what's on offer. I'll try most things once. I tend to default to rum or whiskey, and I love fruit-based cocktails.

So... stuff mixed with cider? [Keith smirked a little.]

[mikangirl]

[Laughs.] No, cider doesn't tend to be good as a mixer. But you take the apple flavouring, maybe an apple liqueur and mix it with others... that works.

[tempredmental]

[Now he definitely looked interested.]

So there's other apple stuff, huh?

[He considered that.]

Is that what they put in an appletini?

[He didn't look overly impressed, though. Appletinis sounded weird.]

They do. It's not really my kind of drink, but they're delicious enough, especially if you enjoy apples.

[But yeah, that's a dumbass name.]

[Keith considered it.]

I think I'll stick with the cider for now.

[He shrugged.]
