Can Any Of Us Even Get Drunk
Who: Space Bar staff and special guests
Broadcast: N/A
Action: Space Bar!
When: One fine night after closing
[The Space Bar staff made good use of the ever-replenishing alcohol supply at their last stop, and Nami and Remy got around to discussing the idea of testing various experimental mixes to come up with new additions for the menu. I mean, add to that Nami hasn't made a decision which one of the applicants should take the main bar job, so clearly the best idea is to shove them all into one place and ply them with alcohol while they talk to each other and work it out after that.
No, it's a good idea. Shut up.
...okay. It may just be a good excuse for a party. Sue her.]
((ooc: this is a mingle! It's open to job applicants and regulars who hold their liquor and their plus ones. If you think that might mean you, you're more than welcome here!))

I mean, unless you've got assholes setting off EMP shit in here, there shouldn't be any problems.

[he knows nothing about space Nami does he have to worry about nebulas]
no subject
A nebula's like a ... permanent space storm kind of thing. The Fleet went through one once, before my time. It fried a lot of the systems.

[he doesn't sound too worried about it, at least. He's been EMP'd more times than he can count, surely nothing can be worst than that]
no subject
If it helps, the nebula incident was before my time, and I've been here coming up on three years. I think it's safe to say that's not a common occurrence.
no subject
That's something, at least. I don't have to worry too much about everything going into system failure, then. [...] I'm exaggerating, but it's still a pain in the ass when a bunch of your shit runs on computer nonsense.

[. . . he knocks on the wood of the bar] Just in case I just jinxed myself.

[She probably should stop asking questions, but that's genuinely confusing.]

Vocal chords had to be rebuilt too. I had fun when I was in the army.

[...though she does crew with someone who literally rebuilt himself into a cyborg using cola as fuel, so there's that.]

[he's so casual about it]
no subject
Hooray for tech, then. I'm glad you survived the experience.

[Might also help if he put on pants once in a while.]

[........like a pervert.]
...different. Ah. You can tell his limbs aren't real anymore. I think most of him is mechanical, now. Even his hair.

It's actually a - I don't know, trend? Style? To make some prosthetics look robotic now where I'm from. But that's mostly people who got 'em just to have 'em, not people like me who kinda needed them. It's real stupid.
no subject
...well, he had a pretty horrible accident early on in his life. He rebuilt himself. And now he keeps making improvements.
no subject
—wait, he rebuilt himself? Like - from the accident on? How the fuck?
