[The Space Bar staff made good use of the ever-replenishing alcohol supply at their last stop, and Nami and Remy got around to discussing the idea of testing various experimental mixes to come up with new additions for the menu.  I mean, add to that Nami hasn't made a decision which one of the applicants should take the main bar job, so clearly the best idea is to shove them all into one place and ply them with alcohol while they talk to each other and work it out after that.

No, it's a good idea.  Shut up.

...okay.  It may just be a good excuse for a party.  Sue her.]

That sounds like a lot of foods like Sokka would like. [She shrugs a little.] I like sea food, but fried things can get a bit heavy after a while. I do like stir fry, though.

Ahh, if ya grew up where I did ya would have to get use to it, fryin' be rather popular there. [And as much as it was comfort food, Remy's vanity was well aware of the issues of eating too much of it and needing to counter it with exercise and other foods.]

Oh yeah? I always 'njoy them too for the most. Be a bit harder to do some of the fancier stuff here I found though, missin' out on a lot of the sauces 'nd some of the spices used in them, plus some of those ship kitchens really ain't set up in a great way to work a wok or pan right for it.

Ya had a hand at makin' them yaself?

I planted some ginger that we got on the last planet. [She gives a small shrug.] With that and the garlic and some hot peppers, it won't be like something with a sauce but it will still be tasty enough.

Oh yeah? Good thinkin'. Nami 'nd I were talkin' 'bout tryin' to get some stuff growin' from the seeds 'nd like she found down there, see if we can keep our supplies goin' for as long as we can for 'nything we found was real popular.

Ya'll have to let me know if ya get a good crop from it, [Then a smile, adding on to not be presumptuous,] If ya would be willin' to share. Be all good if ya don't, but if ya do, wouldn't mind bein' on the list for it.

[She gives a small smile.] We'll see how it turns out. I'm a little uncertain as to how well things will grow up here at all, away from sunlight. But if I get enough for extras, I'll definitely let you know.

Yeah, not too sure how that works either. Though 'm sure there be a few 'round here that can work something out, like they do for the gardens here on the Iskaulit, sun lamps or something.

That or, well, magic. [Because that was a thing here.] Got plenty of users of it 'round that 'm sure can... I donno, make a mini sun or something?

I took over a small space in the garden in the Iskaulit for now. I'll bring up some more earth and create my own bed in there, where there's enough light.

Shame don't have any, uh, earth benders 'round? [That was the right term, right? Remy thinks he remembered that right, that from her world there was people who controlled different elements.

Heh, maybe. But most earthbenders I know don't really have the patience or the interest for things like that.

That so? Would think would be a great option for dominatin' the farmin' area, able to make 'nstant crop sites without machinery or manpower. Good way to make money, hire yaself out as a an earth mover to reform land 'nd stuff. [Since bending sounded like it was much better accepted in her world in comparison to mutants trying to use their powers for work back in his own.]

That does sound very practical. [ She can not imagine Toph doing it. Maybe Haru? ] I'm sure some people in the Earth Kingdom use their abilities like that. Some of them were employed bending along the rails, for transport.

[...Earth bending seems like the last thing you want to do with train rails... but oh well, different worlds and all and sounded like it worked for them? Or Remy was missing something.] Got a lot of real 'nterestin' options by the sounds of it.

Ya know what, I think I can manage that for ya. [A smile sent her way as Remy sorted out filling up a glass for her, even taking the time to cut a little citrus curl to garnish the glass with and making it look extra fancy. Shame they didn't get a chance to get those little umbrellas.
