[The Space Bar staff made good use of the ever-replenishing alcohol supply at their last stop, and Nami and Remy got around to discussing the idea of testing various experimental mixes to come up with new additions for the menu.  I mean, add to that Nami hasn't made a decision which one of the applicants should take the main bar job, so clearly the best idea is to shove them all into one place and ply them with alcohol while they talk to each other and work it out after that.

No, it's a good idea.  Shut up.

...okay.  It may just be a good excuse for a party.  Sue her.]

Well, I am the cook around here! And I saw that... ah, I should not be in the kitchen right now.

[Keith laughed.]

Dude... drunk cooking is a baaaaad idea.

Very bad! I set a kitchen on fire once! And I wasn't even drunk! [Have we mentioned he's the cook here? Still, he laughs like it's no big deal.]

You weren't?

[Keith considered that for a second, and... waaaaaiiiiiit a minute. Someone stop him before he makes a mistake.]

OOOOOOHHHHH... WHAT IF- What if... you're a better cook... when YOU'RE DRUNK!

Hmmm. [Vash considers this. It seems like he starts to flick some of the peanuts sitting out on the bar at random.

Only, it's not exactly random. He can clearly see Keith should not be in the kitchen and cooking. With the flick of the peanuts he's testing how well his aim and reactions are doing.]

Better cook... when drunk...

[Each peanut hits the mark that he picked out. Not close enough that he'd be willing to shoot a gun at this point, but enough that he could keep them from burning down a kitchen.

Besides, maybe he can somehow make this a lesson about not drinking and playing with fire.]

I dunno, do you really think we should try, brother?

[He'll give Keith a chance to be smart about this.]

Well... not me. I mean, I'm not a great cook, either. And I doubt being drunk makes me any better. Stuff like that never works out for me.

[He shrugged, watching the peanuts for a second. Just to try something, without saying anything to Vash, he waited until just before he flicked the last one, and went to snatch it up. He ended up catching Vash's finger with the peanut which wasn't exactly his original goal of trying to grab the peanut before Vash flicked it, but hey... close. He'd consider it a success.]

I usually leave the cooking to Hunk back home. He enjoys it, though. Gets really passionate and stuff, and he's super protective of the kitchen.

I guess... I mean, it's up to you. I don't wanna make you do something you don't wanna.

[Keith gave Vash something of a lopsided smile.]

[Keith. Did you... just... pull Vash's finger? When Keith grabs his finger Vash in all his maturity blows a raspberry.

Sorry, did you say something else past the large fart noise he just made with his lips?]

That was good stuff. Keith completely forgot what they were talking about, so he got up.]
