[The Space Bar staff made good use of the ever-replenishing alcohol supply at their last stop, and Nami and Remy got around to discussing the idea of testing various experimental mixes to come up with new additions for the menu.  I mean, add to that Nami hasn't made a decision which one of the applicants should take the main bar job, so clearly the best idea is to shove them all into one place and ply them with alcohol while they talk to each other and work it out after that.

No, it's a good idea.  Shut up.

Hey, it's clean. It isn't like there's meat in it or anything. [a shrug] Bed's all the way upstairs, and I spend most of my time down in the office.

Well, it's pretty lazy sounding, but it still doesn't make me want to yell at you. It might if it were my deli though. Maybe you should get a couch for your office.

I have two couches, but they're out front in the - whatever you want to call it, waiting area? Lobby? Whatever.

Besides, if someone comes in I'll hear it, and I can roll out before they catch me.

I sleep at my desk, too. Or in my storage area with my dog, if she's asleep in there.

My dog? Her name's Lady. She's a german shepherd, missing her right front leg - but she's got a metal one and could give two shits about it.

I like her already. [And she kind of reminds her of Furiosa. Is that wrong?] I have a direwolf pup named Seeker. He was left to me by a friend. He's on the fleet. I haven't had a pet back home in a long time.

A - direwolf? Seriously? I thought those things were extinct, that's pretty cool. [there it is, his random animal knowledge] My mom has one of those little yappy dogs now, but we've always had some kind of dog. Mostly like - retired army dogs.

I know, weird, right? He's from Robb's world though and while Robb isn't here he did seem to be from kind of an old timey place. Of course they also had dragons so it was a little more than that. Anyway, Seeker hasn't really grown much so I'm guessing the Atroma decided a pup-sized one needed to stay pup-sized. You can meet him sometime if you want.

Y'know I'd consider your world "old timey", just for future world referencing. [it's a joke, of course, but -] He had dragons? Okay, old-timey fantasy world? Huh, that's cool though. [a snort] Can't let the thing get big enough to eat anyone, I guess. But I'd like to meet him, sure.

[She just shakes her head in amusement.] Yeah, well, think more old timey. Think things like only using fire for light or heat for that matter.

I usually take him for afternoon walks on the Iskaulit if we're not on a planet that's good for him. We can probably arrange something.

The word you're looking for is "ancient" - or "medieval" if they're that old. [now he's just being a jerk for fun]

I spend a lot of time over here, so we'll probably run into each other. Regular ships are a bit too cramped for me to hang out there all the time.

I've never played frisbee in my life.

Nah, it makes me antsy - not quite claustrophobic, but close enough that it becomes an issue with a capital I. [he makes a vague gesture] My head's a little fucked.

Are you sure? I always assumed frisbee was huge in the future. [Kidding, but dry about it.]

But yeah, I think a lot of us get stir crazy at least on the smaller ships. [She knows she does. Though she's not exactly sure what to say to his description of his head.] Drifting is the worst. Usually it's only a couple of weeks at the most.

Dunno if it is or not, honestly. I was never a sports guy. [he's equally as dry.

Don't worry, most people don't know how to react when he describes his "issues"] That's what I'm told. And that's why I'm here for a job - it'll give me something to do, keep my head straight, and I won't get too antsy about being stuck on the ships.

Yeah, having some routine helps. A lot actually. At least for me. I'm always working out if nothing else.

Don't gotta tell me that, most of my life is practically routine. [out of necessity, really] I saw the gym, though - I used to do that kind of stuff regularly, when I was in training and shit.

Dunno. Ain't like I got a reason to, really.
