It sounds more like a puzzle than a game to me. Speaking of...[he pauses for a moment, struggling with something, and after a moment tugs loose a part from a small bundle of wires.]

I don't think war is likely. One or more of them getting incarcerated for breaking a rule, however? Far more probable.

Hold this, would you? [He gestures with the hand holding the group of wires]

[He grimaces at the proffered wires, before gingerly taking them. As if simply being in contact with them might make something horrible happen. Like a short-circuit or dirt on his suit. It's all nice watching Felix get dirty, he has no plans to get involved in that mess, though. ]

Well, if they get locked up, that's on them. I'm pretty sure they'd get beamed back onto the ship once we moved on. Meanwhile, we can have a chuckle at their expense.

[Thankfully, wiring doesn't involve any grease. Sparks are another. Don't touch the ends, maybe. Not that Felix issues any such warning.]

Knowing some of them, I'd suspect they'd turn it into another kind of competition.

[He fishes around for a similar looking part, pausing to unscrew a section of it.]

And frankly, it reminds me a little too much of home. Wizards are more subtle with that kind of thing, but it was always a struggle to win at something or other. Who has more power, who has more influence, whose study on a subject is the most extensive. It's exhausting.

[Not warning him hold a better chance of him NOT playing with it at least. The horse won't bolt through the stable door if it doesn't know it's been opened in the first place after all. ]

Who can get beamed back onto the ship the fastest?

[Crowley lets out a soft scoff. ]

Well, that explains a lot about you. [His tone is teasing, at least. ] Still, yeah, demons are like this. Always trying to get the best commendations. Basically trying to get rewards for being shitty and making human lives miserable.

I'm not sure if that is the highest possible accolade or a point ridicule. Or both.

[Pausing again, he makes a soft sound of triumph as he opens the piece]

What is a commendation in the world of demons?

[He's part honestly curious and part slightly getting back at Crowley for the tease.]

Both, my dear Felix, always go for both.

[Crowley grimaces. ]

Mostly it's a pat on the back- rare cases you get promoted. Mostly they just give you a little plaque to go in your cubicle. Like 'adequate work' or 'congratulations on not being completely worthless, you feckless maggot'. Stuff like that.

[He huffs a very slight laugh and holds his hand out for Crowley to hand the wires back.]

That sounds...not entirely unexpected, but...cubicle?
onlyanapple: (Amazed at your stupid)

[Crowley does as asked, they even remain as wires. He doesn't turn them into worms or anything. ]

It's a workspace in an office, it's basically a square made out of ply-board. Just enough space for a desk and a chair really. There's lots of them stuffed into one place- with a worker in each one.

Hell picked that one up from humans. Found it an efficiently dismal way to remind their employees they own them. And the being a feckless maggot thing.
